Comment on the new look here

I like the color scheme a lot. I do not like the left hand side of the page cramming the rest of the stuff over to what I have been used to. There's an issue here and there (in My Controls, for one) of fonts being hard to read on a certain background. Overall, though, it is an improvement, and a nice streamlining and decluttering.

i just checked...the fonts still seem to the same as far as readability as the background is a solid grey with black font

Let's all give Travis major props for the new look of David-Cook.org in honor of David's album release. He did an amazing job! And it is still super user friendly. He did this for all of us. Travis Rocks!!!!!

Travis (dangit, where's my clapping smiley?!) I love it! I like the left hand column, it make it look so much cleaner.

It's that spot right above Menu and My Controls, the line witht he Google toolbar thing, that has balck type on a dark grey background. No biggie. The only other thing I just noticed was the new album out link on the top, next to the video, is making the site load a bit slower for me. But, like I said, it's an imporvement over the crossword background that made the site swim a bit if I looked at it too long. But who am I to complain when you have made this site up for all of us to enjoy?

Travis, LOVE the calendar -- just what we all needed! Now when newbies come, they can see what's going on right away, which is impossible, by the way, on DCO.
I'm having trouble with the right margin -- the main text box is going off the screen to the right -- in other words, the main right column is now just enough pixels wider that I'm losing the edge of text on the right, even when I adjust the window so that the left column doesn't show. Means I have to scroll HORIZONTALLY all the time -- ACH!

Love the overall look, and love the name The Dash. Keep up the great work,

Travis, thank you for all the work in planning and implementation for the new look that you have done. It all looks very professional and sophisticated. I like the side that lists events he will be attending and info regarding them. I hope that when "today" and "yesterday" are listed, right next to those words are actual dates. This was confusing before not knowing which today or yesterday was meant. I also really would like happier photos of David and not the sombre ones that are shown which don't really look like him. Congratulations also on the color scheme.

I have the new look set to a 1024 screen resolution and hopefully that didn't just confuse you lol. I hope the scrolling isn't that big of an issue...Have a friend or someone (if you don't know) change your screen resolution to 1024, this is the most common screen setting nowdays.

I am having sensory overload tonight! First the iTunes download available, and then the new look unveiled! Looks great, Travis! BTW, I love it that you used my video from D.C. on the home page header.

I saved it all those months hehe and I finally got to use it thanks again!

Now that I've used it for several hours, my only suggestion is to try to do something so that we can read the entire entry in the index rather than having to guess or scroll over. Perhaps make the stuff on the left just a hair smaller in order to do that? Other than that, I am extremely happy with the changes.
