Full Version: Summer Tour Buddies
Going to the St. Louis show on July 18th.....but am begging hubby to take me to the Tulsa show, too!
I will be at the Green Bay, Wisconsin show on September 2nd!

Already got my tickets for Green Bay, WI on Sept 2. I have to drive 3 hours north on a work night and back - but I don't care if I sleep! Who needs sleep? "I can sleep when I die." 
I am going to at the Albany show on August 6

I wonder if he truly knows the impact he is having on the world!!!! I know he didn't write the song Dream Big, but I always think when I hear him sing 'When I was a little boy, I swore that I would change the world, when I grew up' that I really do think he IS going to bring a change to the world, for the BETTER of course. Just the way he is so sensitive (showing men it's okay to show emotion and you can still have 'edge' even if you do) but even more so the way he stands up for his causes and is bringing so much more publicity to the fight against cancer, I just think it's awesome and I really do think he will change the world in a way. His celebrity status gives him the exposure for people to see what a wonderful and caring person he is and will give exposure to the fight against cancer.
Okay I know I went off on a tangent there and went way away from my original post.........but it was stream-of-consciousness!!!
Anyway.......awesome that DC will have international fans represented at the shows this summer!! TOO cool.

This was a great idea. I have tickets for the AI concert on August 14 in Washington DC. Although my husband was a DC fan during AI, he is only really going to the concert because I want to go.
I haven't been to a concert in years. I am now a professional, 30-something woman who just wants to go crazy at this thing (find the hotel DC is staying in, track down the tour bus, rush the stage, you name it). I wish I knew some fans like me in my area.
I know this sounds nuts but I'm usually very normal. I think I'm going off the deep end.

Well, I think the best way for us to get together is starting to make contact with the ones that are going to the same concert you are going to.
For tickets, I know that ticketmaster is gonna sell tickets for some of the concerts, so my advice is: Go to www.ticketmaster.com, search for American Idol and then put it on My Alerts, so they will e-mail you any news on the concerts and pre-sales.
If you guys know about any other site selling tickets as well, post it on this thread, it would be very helpful.
To get seats together, one of the group should buy all tickets together, but that you have to decide withing the group you are going with.

I tried for a ticket in DC, but nothing was available, so I'm going to Atlantic City and Newark on the 31st.
If I was going we could hang and be silly together!
ROTFLMAO! I'm more than twice your age and can understand the attraction. We finally have an American Idol 'women' can relate to. No offense to the teens, but this is a man who is intelligent, talented and has the greatest smile! Did I mention he can sing too? LOLOL!
Don't ever get old mentally... "OLD" people are party poopers and don't know how to have fun anymore!
I don't know about jumping the stage, but if you find his hotel, you may just get to say HELLO and get a photo with him!
Same with the tour bus! So I say GO FOR IT cause you're never too old! Take it from one of Cook's Cougars.

I saw in an interview where DC said that he would be flying back and forth from shows to work on his new album in the studio... MY worry is that he won't even have a hotel... or arrive in a tour bus... what if he's carted from the airport in a limo direct to the show minutes before it starts!!?

That sounds perfect!! I like MJ too but obviously Cookie is my favorite. I just looked at my tickets and we are sitting in section 402, row G, seats 6-7. I'm so excited!!!!
