It's not like Cookie has not been on Regis & Kelly before for heavens sakes!!!! The interview was weird to me too. Not only that...I don't think they sang the whole song. Anyone else think that?

Regis and Kelly are so lame.

Did it look like David was a little out of it, too? I thought he didn't sing it with the gusto he usually attacks his songs. For eg., compare this Light On performance to the one on SNL or GMA. He looked a little tired, maybe it was because of the big album launch events from yesterday. He had his eyes closed a lot and he looked down more often than he usually does, like he wasn't really into it. And of course, Regis' lame interview questions didn't help set the mood for him, maybe.

Here is the Regis and Kelly thread with recaps of those of us that went to the show along with pictures of David and the band.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only who noticed these things too.

I agree -- this wasn't even as good as their interview right after Idol -- and what's with asking him about the tour for goodness sakes -- OLD news! Kelly seemed to have NOTHING to say or ask that she didn't say and ask before. It was pleasant enough and probably most people didn't notice -- just a let down for us Cookie watchers :-)
They new in advance that they would have to cut LO to 2:30. We've talked about a lot of other details in the strand Annette linked above.

That's Regis for you....leave it to him.
drawnintodavid
that's got to be awkward.....

But then, it can be easy to forget which city an artist came from. Like, I like Carrie Underwood and during AI I was sooo aware that she lives in OK... But recently, I had to check her wiki info to remember that single info

I would be seething mad if Regis doesnt know he won AI... that would be really really strange

Oh JESUS. Get over it people, it's just a talk show.

Good grief.

I definitely noticed that on Regis too~you are right about the prior days in NY, he was pretty much non-stop. When we met the guys on the street at midnight before the release day, they said David was sleeping because he had a lot of press that day, but the band was able to go back to the hotel and sleep after GMA. They said they were texting him to come out and join them that night, but he wasn't answering their texts (thank GOD he got some sleep, however we would have gone nuts if he did show up!)

Allison - you are right - these kids "Especially David" had been none stop since they touched ground in NYC to prepare for Monday and David was non-stop press from early Tuesday morning up through the release party and beyond. So yes, David and company were exhausted on Wednesday morning but for those of us that were physically there - the interview could have been better, David made the most of the questions and the Light On performance was fine. At some point you will see (probably around the holidays) on R&K David and band singing "Life on the Moon" they taped this after the show concluded.

In regards to the guys showing up - we met two girls at R&K waiting in line that I guess - Andy mentioned to them that David told the guys to leave the hotel and go out for a few hours (hense the guys being in Time Square and stopping by Virgin - I guess this gave David a chance to get some rest.

We spoke with Timmy (Guitar Tech) when we were walking out and they were flying back to LA that afternoon - so hopefully they took those 6 hours in the air and slepted - they all needed it.

I laughed at Regis, how clueless and the tour has been over. I too noticed it looked like David could barely hold his head up, poor baby. It made me mad they couldn't let him sing all of LO, that stunk. I didn't know that they sang another song. I felt like I felt when he was on tour, I wanted him to come to my house and I would let him sleep for 2 days in a row if he wanted and then I could hold him and watch him sleep. I would have to keep the animals quiet and out of my room though. I would also have to make my mom go sleep next door at my grandparents house.
I wish he wouldn't go on there again cause I can't stand Kelly, she grates on my last nerve and Regis is an old fuddy duddy.

I have a question, when was David sick with the flu? I don't remember him looking sick other than the LS performance. I need to go back and watch all the videos I guess.
