I've never been to an American Idol concert before. More than likely, I couldn't get either of my parents to come with me. But man, I'm thirty minutes from Houston...I'll have to save up my money, perhaps. Not really sure. But this has been a really great season, and I've had a lot of favorites. If I were to hit a concert for any season, I would choose this one. Not really sure...

Ah, shit, I was right! Fall classes begin the day after the Houston concert! Ahhhh!!! Ugh. Well...thank goodness I really like this season. I'd only be doing it for a contestant I really liked. I would hesitate doing that with Nickelback, and no one in my family would hesitate with Nickelback.

Oh, man...just thinking about it gets me stressed, though. Show starts at seven, we won't get out 'til probably 11 or midnight, won't get out of parking 'til one, won't get home 'til three. I guess it really depends on the times of my classes. All I've had up 'til now has been 8 AM classes, but I guess I can switch that up a bit come registration.

Man, what I wouldn't do to see David in concert...I'm working on it, Shannabelle! I'm putting a huge 'We'll see' on it!

Oh yeah, believe me I'm pretty sure I'm just going to do it and be tired the next day... my folks will not be happy about it lol (i still live with them unfortunately). starting a new job with not a whole ton of sleep... oh well at least it's just planning and not the kids coming in yet. if it was the first day of actual school then I would not do it.

this is of course assuming that i get a full time teaching job next year, which i figure/hope that i will haha.

Houston's the closest to me, really the only one in my range as well. The bad part about growing in the country (and only being a two-year driver) is the unfamiliarity of driving in a big city. If I had grown up in the city all my life, I probably wouldn't hesitate just to buy a ticket for myself, take my cruiser and hit the gig. But one of my parents have to be with me or it's a no-go, and if they both veto it, it's definitely a no-go. My Mom's already going that it's not a good idea because of the fall college classes...

Man, this sucks. I know Dad's going to be the same way, if not more adamantly so.
