well, yes and no.
i didn't really like her, she was way too uptight, but i could tell she was starting to loosen up a bit.
i wasn't sad to see her go though.

but don't be sad
she'll get scooped up by some record deal.
it's at that point in the competition where the majority of them get signed...
and she's one of them that would sell records.

I'm sad she's gone. Like she said before "Wednesdays suck" because someone is going to be leaving. Wish she and of course David C were both safe tonight.

Im not sad to the point that im gonna cry. But she really did not deserve to go home! Based on talent absolutely not! but that's the thing about American Idol, its obvisiously America's choice.!!!

I am a little shocked to be honest, but at the same time... American Idol is rarely about talent and more about the fan base... Castro has a bigger fan base than Carly so he stays and she goes.

Luckily, our boy David has a HUGE fan base and a HUGE talent to go along with it so WHEN he WINS no one will be disappointed.

I personally can't wait to see Carly and David rock their asses off on the tour!

To me, I thought she was a good performer, but I do feel [sadly I'm agreeing with Simon] that she got a bit "shouty" at times. Just my opinion though.
And I honestly don't know why people have said she's the 'strongest' of the females, because I think Syesha's range beats Carly by a long shot.

I did like Carly, however, someone's got to go home in order to narrow it down.

I'm still rooting for David, & as long as he's there, that's what matters to me.

I still feel that Carly or Syesha should have went home when Michael did too, so maybe I still hold a slight grudge.

I do agree. I think no one of the other girls are as good as she! And I don't think that for example Syesha has much personality, Carly does.

I was really disappointed to see Carly go. She was my favorite female contestant and she did have the most personality out of the girls. Brooke is so sweet but she hasn't been that good for the past couple of weeks.

Yep! There's nothing wrong with Syesha either, but.. I don't know.. there's just SOMETHING that's missing that I could like her so much, you know.
But I believe Carly will anyway make some great career.

I'm going to miss Carly. She wasn't really my "style", like she's not someone whose music I would probably buy after Idol, but she was a great entertainer and seemed like a really cool person. I would rather Brooke or Syesha go home this week.

I didn't know who Jared Leto was until today but when I saw the video I was like "Who's that? Where's David?" I thought it was just some random actor lol...until the group shots. The close ups really caught me off guard.

As for Carly...I don't take ownership to this opinion...but some people think she shouldn't have won because she's Irish (same with Michael not being 100% American). I understand that being "American" is a mix of a billion different nationalities etc...but maybe Carly would have successful on an Idol over seas?
