I've watch all those videos. They are absolutely incredible!

So far my favorite is Danny Gokey. I hope he makes it into the voting rounds. I'm really curious to see what Adam Lambert does in Hollywood.

Oh, and I can't forget Stevie Wright. She auditioned in Phoenix and sang Etta James' "At Last." I liked her too.

David will always be the ultimate, though.

What I can't believe is that Adam Lambert is 26 I thought he looked younger.

So far this season is really disappointing. The first 2 audition nights were good with the David montage and plugs. But it has been kind of boring and I have been surprised at many of the ones they put through. Of course, after last season, there had to be a let down, but I was hopeful.

So far my faves are soulful Danny and "Wicked" Adam. Simon criticized Adam for being theatrical, but if he can use that to his advantage, it could help him. As we all know, David had a background in musical theater and that might have contributed to his imaginative and diversified song choices and arrangements.

I'll keep watching but hope it gets more interesting soon. At least we can look forward to David's future appearances.

I liked Megan Corkrey the other night in Salt Lake (I think?) - the young mom who is going through a divorce. So right now she and Danny are my top girl and guy. I still like Stevie too.

Anyone notice Michael Castro last week. I did not see him, just curious to as if he made it.

They showed Michael with his group but not singing and they didn't say whether or not he made it through at that point. From everything I've read, he didn't make it past Hollywood but I hope we at least get to see him once more before they move to the top thirty-something.

I'm liking Anoop and Jamar. Absolutely love those youtube clips of Anoop and his acapella group. So cool and entertaining!

Matt and Danny did it for me. I think they will be front runners. Juno was pretty good too.

I think I'm with you now. My early favorites were Danny and Adam, but I'm a little over Adam. I'm still liking soulful Danny a lot and now Matt G. is my second fave.

also, as of this week I am a huge fan of Kris Allen. He was awesome!

But I agree that this season has been wildly disappointing. Most of the top 36 contestants CANNOT get it together! What is it, bad song choice?

It's this system, there's no room for error or giving yourself a couple of weeks to settle in and find your feet, and then emerge from that pack (like a certain contestant did last year ) - everyone is trying get their 'Hello' moment straightaway, and it isn't working - bad song choices, too much pressure etc.

I really don't have a favourite at the moment, Adam over sings and his voice and image jar too badly for me, Danny is a decent singer who's got where he is because of his back story (we had exactly the same situation on the X Factor this year with a contestant called Danny - seriously, you couldn't make it up). Sorry to sound harsh, but in no way is he a potential major recording star and I'd question if he'd have even got past Hollywood week if the circumstances were different.

I'm not feeling anyone at the moment, but looking forward to Lil Rounds, did quite like her audition, plus she has a damm cool name, and I suspect she may be the real Chosen One, and I'd quite like Jamar, Danny's friend, to get a wildcard - superior voice that I'd like to hear more of (and yes, I do think he'll be back, he got cut at Hollywood for the drama, and the big twist is bringing him back as a wildcard and him getting through that way - added drama!)

While I TOTALLY agree with you about wanting Jamar back, I thought the wild cards were chosen ONLY from the Top 36???

And I am agreeing with everyone I don't like this system...doing the Top 24 was MUCH better for the contestants..got to allow them more chances.

As someone said on another thread..do you really think DC would have made it thru based on Happy Together?? hmmmm........

My fav is Allison. In the top 12 I would like: Allison, Danny, Anoop, Adam, Ricky Braddy, and...Norman. I'm undecided on the rest. I don't want Norman to win, but he is wildly entertaining and would be fun to see on tour!

I'm sure I've seen a quote from Simon, something about the wildcards might not necessarily come from the top 36 alone.

My top 5 favorites this season are: Matt, Allison, Megan, Scott and Kris. But my favorite this season is Matt.

Adam and Lil I think are my tops, and Danny, Matt, and Kris a close second. Kris has really been bringing it on.

so i finally broke down and watched AI for the very 1st time this season last night.......there really wasn't anything else on, and i kinda wanted to get an feel for these guys so I would know who's who......
so, with my completely clean slate - Kris was my favorite, hands-down.....kinda reminded me of David a little the way he took the song and made it unique......Adam wasn't bad i guess, i think i see potential in Matt, but wasn't crazy about the song.....i was surprised there were only like 3 girls??? and i gotta say, i wasn't really crazy about any of them - that Megan?? she was HORRIBLE if you ask me.....Danny was ok too but i think the judges thought he was better than i thought.....
overall it seemed no where near as good as last year, but i do realize I am biased......

I love ADAM and DANNY and MATT for the guys
and only ALLISON for the girls-she is awesome and only 16

It is funny how things change as the weeks go on with this question. I didn't like Adam from the beginning but I like him now. I think he has changed his approach and I think it is good. So my favorite guys are Danny, Kris, Adam and Matt. I love Allison for the girls she is adorable and can really sing.

Danny Gokey-definite winner.

Definitely Danny Gokey. He's had my heart since his audition. Okay, he's not David (who will always be my #1) but his voice moves me in a similar way (WHTM made me cry) and I really hope he wins.

I also like Kris and Allison and hope they make the top 5. I like Adam too and I think he's very unique and original, but he just doesn't grab me the way Danny does. I don't think he's very commercial and is more suited for the stage than as a recording artist. There is also a disconnect for me--he seems to be performing rather than really feeling what he sings.

I'm liking Danny and Kris. I wonder who Cookie likes. Anybody know?

Danny and Kris are my two faves now. I'm back to hatin' on Adam I thought Mad World was GREAT last week and I even downloaded it, but I just can't get into the OTT screaming and screeching that he keeps falling back on. But more importantly, I found this snippet today...

Cook, who again appeared on "American Idol" in a taped performance earlier this year, said he has been watching the show and thinks all of the remaining contestants "still got something in the tank." He singled out singers Kris Allen and Adam Lambert as two that stand out to him.
