Cook, who again appeared on "American Idol" in a taped performance earlier this year, said he has been watching the show and thinks all of the remaining contestants "still got something in the tank." He singled out singers Kris Allen and Adam Lambert as two that stand out to him.

Well...I agree with him about Kris, but not Danny? unsure.gif Ah, well. I won't hold it against you, David.

^Danny's a good singer, but I really haven't seen any emotional connection from him at all. That's where last season is different from this season. I have barely seen any emotion from the contestants this year.

But my faves this season are Kris and Allison. Kris knows who he is as an artist, and you see that EVERY time he performs. His voice is very unique, and he's very versatile. Last night's performance from him was probably my favorite.

Allison, she just blows my mind away!!!! Sixteen, and that's what she's doing??? I'm sixteen and I'm sitting at home doing Chemistry homework that I don't understand. She gives me a complex, lulz.

That surprised me too. David is so genuine and Adam is so fake, but David probably likes Adam's "creativity."

I find myself wondering each week what Adam is going to do next. Like him or not, he is quite the entertainer. I really like Allison - she is so identifiable. If you heard her on the radio, you'd know right away it's Allison. I also like Kris, but he fell short a bit last night.

So who will the voting public send packing tonight.... and will the judges invoke the save?

I really think Allison is going to win, she's good. My favorites are Kris Allen and Danny though biggrin.gif

My Faves right now are ANOOP! All the way!
And Kris, I think I became a fan right after 'Man in the Mirror'.

I like Matt Giraud and Kris Allen. I don't know if either will win, but I do like them. As far as Adam goes, I can't stand him. He over does everything. I can't stand the screaming. It's waaay over the top. I thought his audition was good, but after seeing him perform live and hearing all that screaming/screeching, I couldn't take it and completely turned me off. Allison is really good. She's like your normal 16-yr old. But I like Matt and Kris. Talented and can play instruments...what a combo. However, David will always be number 1 and the best biggrin.gif

As of right now I'm presonnaly rooting for Kris Allen to win for the following:

a) hes the underdog (most of the general public is expectating adam to win)
cool.gif hes a major hottie (not as cute as dc but definitely the cutest one of the bunch this year)
c) he plays instruments smile.gif
d) he can rearrange songs too (yes, its not only adam thats rearranging pieces this year)
e) his voice is awesome and something you would hear on mainstream radio

I'm liking Danny and Kris. I wonder who Cookie likes. Anybody know?

I could be wrong but I think I read he liked Kris!

I like Kris and Matt!

I like Kris too, although i don't think he has a chance of winning as Adam's the clear frontrunner. But i can see him upsetting Danny into 2nd place. I've heard his rendition (both studio and live) of 'Falling Slowly' and boy, he did a fantastic job! He's got an amazing voice! He kinda reminds me of Jason Mraz and James Morrison when he sang that song. I also find him genuine and approachable, too.

PS i read that Archie's a fan of him too! And he does remind me of Archie too, in terms of fashion sense, and a little in looks too.

PPS i actually like Matt too and i don't want him gone. But he does need to imrpove his performances if he wants to stay in contention.

I havev had enough of Adam and everyones perditions! Does any now if it was like this last year were everyone was like sos and so was going to win! I know losing Michael was an upset but that is all I remember!

I totally agree with you about Kris.

I have a question -- most of the time when there's a major re-arrangement, Adam is thanking Ricky Minor or Michael Orlans for helping him. So how much of it is he doing on his own and how much is really the other guys?

last year at time I think everyone except us cookies (and maybe Paula, back before she threw David over for Adam) were convinced Archie had it in the bag....

I don't know the answer to that question. However, I'm gonna post it on myidol and see if any of the adam lambert fans know it as they probably do research on that kind of stuff.

edit: hopefully i won't go to banned camp for it lol as american idol doesn't like questions tongue.gif

Yeah Archie was my guess but did they think that he whole season? Randy and Paula told David C that he could win and he was originalbut I think that was all they said!

Also Syesha was in thew bottom 3 six times before leaveing! I am still holding out hope for Matt to go farther!

I remember that in the beginning a lot of people were all for Archie. They were like Archie's got it, Archie's got it. As they started the top 12, is when David Cook started to rise...okay, most likely when he sang 'Hello,' but close enough. Throughout the first couple of weeks, all the judges said that he could win the whole competition; each saying it differently. Finally, when Cook sang Neil Diamond's 'All I Really Need Is You,' is when Paula sees him as the next American Idol. The public was going back and forth between the 2 Davids. Cook was the underdog, kept getting better and better, and was just going up each week; while Archie was consistent, but just stayed neutral through the whole competition.

So far this season is really disappointing. The first 2 audition nights were good with the David montage and plugs. But it has been kind of boring and I have been surprised at many of the ones they put through. Of course, after last season, there had to be a let down, but I was hopeful.

So far my faves are soulful Danny and "Wicked" Adam. Simon criticized Adam for being theatrical, but if he can use that to his advantage, it could help him. As we all know, David had a background in musical theater and that might have contributed to his imaginative and diversified song choices and arrangements.

I'll keep watching but hope it gets more interesting soon. At least we can look forward to David's future appearances.

See ya in Biloxi!!!!!

I agree, this season didn't pull me in like last Season.
They all could sing (although I thought the judges made very poor choices with most of the contestants).
Like letting go of Alexis Grace so early was incredibly bad. Leaving Megan Joy for so long HORRIBLE idea! I'm glad she's gone.
Using the save for that guy (forgot his name) WORST IDEA EVER!! Especially cause that next week Anoop went home sad.gif
And I think they favor Adam Labert WAAAAYYYY too much!! I like him, but only when he sings his slow songs like when he sand "Tracks of My Tears" I thought that was so nice. When he does his "high note" or as I and many others call it SHOUTING I think it's horrible. He's sliding by through the competition because he is now the "favorite" even though people others are a lot better.
So now, my vote is for Alison.

I don't think Megan should have EVER been brought back for the wild card! Matt was saved!
