I agree 100% with what he said. Will his taste in music be what the judges like or what the voting audience likes? Does he want to be seen and heard or does he want to win?

If he gets some songs that he does like As Long As You're Mine or Is Anybody Listening? because of their style, no one will be able to touch him vocally. No one else is as good, unless TPTB are hiding them so far.

If he persists in a cabaret style that is over the top, I doubt he will win.

I do like him and he is probably the most talented on there this season.

If his goal is to win, then he needs to play the game. And sing like he knows will win. I am hoping Debra Byrd will help him. He's also got a lot to learn about camera closeups. He can make the funniest faces ever.

He does need the makeup. Poor guy. As attractive as he is, he has freckles, and acne, and scarring on closeups. He needs the makeup, worse than me. The eyeliner, well, it's over the top, but fits in with the emo hair. I do think the hair makes him stand out. No one else looks like him.

I think the question is does he want to win? He's got the vocals to win. He should have the music knowledge to know what style to sing in to win. Does he want to?

Personally. I love Is Anybody Listening? Just love it. I could listen to it over and over. I love ALAYM, too. I do like musicals and saw Wicked here this fall. HIs ALAYM and Dancing Through Life were much more entertaining than the guy who did it here.

I love this guy! Ever since his first audition for AI. He is definitely who I'm voting for. He really just seems to be wicked talented, and he really amazed me with his performances, especially the last one where he sang "Believe," by Cher. He is definitely original and interesting.

I love Adam too, I can see where you see the similarities but I think Adam is more theatrical than Cook. That's why his fans are called the "Glamberts" for his style of rock(Glam Rock) . Moving on I've already pre-order his single on itunes now all he has to do is get on stage and sing well, knock the judges' socks off and make it to the top 12 for now.

I think he has a great voice and is very easy on the eye, but in no way reminds me of David.
He is much more theatrical and not much of a rocker, at least from what I have seen.

I did look on the Wicked cast lists and he was only an understudy for Fiyero in L.A. when I saw it, but it says he was in the general cast too....so a monkey,palace guard, citizen, student...so I saw him, but didn't know it!! lol.

Every time I see a short clip of Adam I can't help but just smile. He's got it. He's pulling me in the same way David did with unique song styles and a rocker edge.

If you look at past pictures of him you can see a huge range of looks and styles he's morphed into for different jobs/gigs so his make over will just be another "new look". I hope they tone his black hair down a bit some how. I like the color but it's just too much and making his pale skin look worse.

If your go to www.adam-lambert.org you'll see some video's of his past work (you can you tube him also and see some things). Although, if American Idol is looking for a wholesome singer that you can bring home to mom...Adam might not be it. He's got a lot of craziness in his past.

I'm pretty sure he is.. In a video he talks about kissing his costar in Wicked and he says that it's not his preference. I really don't care about his sexual orientation. I think he's got a killer voice, and an amazing ability to entertain.. Basically he rocks

My problem with him is that he just doesn't seem real. Adam was one of my early favorites, but I just wish he wouldn't try so hard. He doesn't have to. His voice speaks for him, but his over-dramatization turns me off. I'm hoping that now that he knows he's been noticed, he'll tone it down a little and focus on the music. I think he will do very well if he becomes more "real." That's what made so many of us fall in love with David Cook - genuinely talented AND genuine.

That's my problem as well, I have absolutely no idea who he is as a musical artist. In an interview after he made the top 13 when asked about what type of album he'd make he threw just about every musical genre into the pot - rock, funk, electro and then mentioned David Bowie - well whilst aspiring to emulate The Thin White Duke is a noble ambition, he completely misses the point that Bowie didn't throw every musical influence onto every album, he evolved and reinveted over a period of time.

It seems like he's trying to be all things to all people, and that won't work, I'd much rather he was Adam, rather then what Adam thinks the voting public wants.

I think the whole gay stripper thing broke in the semifinals in the top 20 or top 16, but David Hernandez still made it to the top 12. Hernandez had an okay voice, but 11 or 12 was about the best he was going to do anyway. I don't really know. I guess we'll see, but I'd like to think it's about the music and the ability to make us feel the music. Adam's not making me feel anything at this point, and frankly, I didn't think his rendition of Satisfaction was good singing either. I liked his Bohemian Rhapsody much better. That was the song that made me take notice of him.

i dont think viewers and voters today are affected by sexual preferences of the AI contestants... i agree with previous posts that adam is indeed talented but somehow sometimes he tends to exaggerate... i do not know why but i cant feel the sincerity in his performances... but he is still my bet.. just hoping he would evolve into a more sensitive and more "real" performer.
