PS...I did go down to the Toyota Center this past weekend and there is indeed underground parking beneath the Toyota Tundra garage. The entrance at Leeland and Jackson is where I was told the Idols MAY (or may not) be. <ha> I think this break between Tampa and Houston will prove to be the kicker. I think we will only find out WHEN and WHERE to meet our Idols once we are there that day. smile.gif

Okay...my parents and I found the Toyota Center downtown (have never been there before), and I noted a few things. First, the entrance facing Polk St. is where we'll be entering in I'm sure. All the box offices are on that side of the building. Next, if you go down Polk St., left of the entrance, there's another entrance/exit on the other side of the building. On that intersecting street, that seems to be where the buses are parking. There's an event/concert happening there tonight, and along that intersecting street is where all the buses were parked. I'll try to find a map online to demonstrate what I'm saying.

Luckily, my parents' plan has come into my favor. We're staying at the Hilton across the street (possible hotel stay for the Idols, depending on their schedule), so my parents will just probably walk me across to the entrance then go back to the hotel. This might allow for some bus meet-and-greeting beforehand, and even post-concert. All my girls, we'll have to set up some meeting place, whether it be a restaurant or at the arena, so we can all meet up for some bus-raiding.

I tried checking out the restaurants, but the only one I physically saw was the China Garden Restaurant () behind the Center. There's a wine bistro place down Polk, but it's a bit of a ways down from the arena. Perhaps it'd be best to meet at the restaurant in the hotel or something, or just the lobby, if no one else is staying there. There are about 400 rooms open still, so now would be the time to reserve if you want to just walk.

Nah. Isn't the Toyota Center an indoors arena anyway? It may put a small damper on any bus-raiding, but I certainly wouldn't affect the concert.

I'm leaving from San Antonio first thing in the morning. I don't know my way around Houston (kinda scared) but I'll be staying at the Club Quarters off Fannin, not too far from the TC. We'll be taking the transit to the TC. I can't wait to meet the infamous Words Nerds.

Can't believe tomorrow I will be seeing DC with my own two eyes. It will be heaven.

FOLKS: IN TALKING TO RICKEY TODAY, HE DID MENTION HE HAS 2 CELL CASTER FOR HOUSTON. IF ANY ONE IS GOING AND IS INTERESTED IN CELL CASTING - PLEASE CONTACT RICKEY - EMAIL ADDRESS: rickey@rickey.org.

Description:

Cellcaster = willing concert goer who volunteers to let us listen in on the concert during one or more idol sets.


The cellcaster will contact Rickey (email: rickey@rickey.org) - Rickey will give them an assignment (ie. David Cook). Right before David (for example) starts his set) the cell caster will call Rickey at the assigned cell number - the cell caster will keep the cell phone on during the set - the sound will come through rickey cell phone and through the video link that Rickey has set up. There are 150-250 people who usally log into Rickey's to hear the cellcast remotely.

I just wanted to say, DAVID I LOVE U MAN!!

I just got back from the concert , and I cannot believe how gorgeous and talented this man is, I mean, his singing is just great, I was shaking and couldnt keep the camera steady.

Got some great pre show pics, his autograph and I loved the show, loved it.

There was some lady "boo"ing our Cookie, but he did not care. I love him even more now, I know he will be succesfull in his career.

Yesterday I could not sleep because of excitement of waiting for the concert but now I cannot sleep because I keep repeating everything in my head.

Sounds like you had such a fun time! I never got a chance to get Davids autograph and meet him because David, Chickezie, and Michael Johns did not come out after the concert to meet and greet fans. I hear that he has mostly been signing before the concerts....Did you get his autograph before the concert?? Just wandering....I want to figure out the best way to meet David in the future....but the rest of the Idol tours I think are nowhere near Atlanta...Guess I will have to wait untill his big tour..

He was the first one out for the autograph signing before the show. He was really tired - he said he was trying to operate on 3 hours sleep...maybe why he didn't make the after show signing. But he looked gorgeous - really.
