OMG!!! I just checked this site for buying American Idol tickets that purports to guarantee sales of the tour tickets even in Houston and the price for tickets in Floor, Section A or C , not even B which is right in front and none were being sold, but anyway for A and C the price was $642!!!!!!

Got mine yesterday. Safe to say I was pretty happy.

Geez girl, it has been too long !! We live so close yet lost touch. It'll be great seeing you, hope to have even more fun then the last trip. I've got my tickets too and thank god they're floor. However, I may check the day of to see if better ones are released. My wallet is gonna cry and some bills will get bumped for a week but Cook's worth it. Hope we can organize something for all of us to hang out, good thing we got two months to do it.

We'e been talking about meeting up, having lunch at 12 or so, bus and meet and greet hunting, and then bringing a cooler with sammich stuff, and then of course, da show.

hi ya! everyone....i have been posting in the met up in houston thread....i got alot of tickets...my brother-in-law owns texas radio in houston, he has 4 of them.....he does aton of sports stars cars.....and he gets tickets to EVERYTHING!....i will be at the T. center the night before the concert.....i got to party that night! hahahahaha.....i own a tanning salon in houston well in sugarland..i am going to be bringing aton of gifts...i'm even going to be giving away free tanning, bathing suits, skin products etc etc.....i WILL MET DC [A FACT].... i will be up front...and back stage....i will be there with 2 of my sisters you CANT miss us...we have some HOT T-Shrits [red] with a sliver cross, big heart, and roses on the front.....with ALWAYS REMEMBER, and NEVER FORGET! hi everyone, i have been getting messages on the passes, like i said in the post above, it is 1st come 1st sreve..i will be at the T. center the night before.....so if you want a pass you will have to get there at a 1st come basis...i have some passes but not aton....you cant miss us, we will be parked in the only lot that the T.center will allow [for early tickets] i cant mail or meet up with anyone before the show! so if you want a pass, you got to get there early, sorry but if i mailed them out or met with anyone i wouldnt have any passes!

I read one of your recent posts in your original Houston site, and I want to say I'm sorry for your aunt's loss. I hope your family and you are doing better.
Hopefully the concert will help cheer you up a little (or a lot). You mentioned you will be at the Toyota Center the night before the concert. Where at, and what is the general plan of events? I'm definitely in. I'm so excited especially after seeing DC concert coverage of the first 2 concerts in You-tube. He's amazing!! The concert will definitely be a huge hightlight of my 41st birthday on August 24th. Have you heard anything about any meet and greet passes? I intend to go way early the day before, but it would help a little if we had more of a sure thing to meet David and the rest of the idols. Anyway, thanks for helping other people Sunshine, and I admire your drive in helping abuse victims. You go girl!!! Tell us how we can help.

I'm wondering where we may have a chance to see the Idols after the buses come by or where in the parking lot to meet considering the Toyota Center is in the middle of an area and doesn't really have its own parking lot. We always park and pay in the Hilton parking lot. I've been there several times then again, I've never explored the whole area. Anyone know the area and arena well ?

hey celeste and everyone else... yeah i was also concerned about how the set-up of the toyota center is and wondering where the tour buses are gonna be. so i was googling the center and apparently they have backstage tours from mon-thurs for 7 bucks and i was thinking of doing that tour so that maybe we could get some info about it. we'll see....

If i wasnt 3 hrs from there id come with ...So take a camera so we can make a plan....lol

I've spoken to guest relations at Toyota Center and the buses park underground. They don't have word on WHEN yet. My guess is they'll be in town on the 23rd.

Also, they travel via underground walkway to the venue- there is a "fan gathering" place at Jackson and Leland where most of the other performers stop for autographs, etc. Again- still no clue on WHEN yet!!!

Hi everyone ! I'm new, this is my first post. I'm a huge Archie fan, but I like Cookie alot too! I'm goin to the Houston show also. I can't wait. I have a question though. If the toyota center has underground parking, how come there are no tunnels any where near the toyota center? My husband called the toyota center on Monday, and he spoke to someone in customer service, and he was told that there is no underground parking for tour busses at the toyota center. I f someone could please help me clear this up it would be greatly appreciated. I want to meet Archie, and Cookie so... bad! Here is the map of downtown houston. Just click on the left of the screen , attractions, and tunnels, and you will see for yourselves. My husband even called about the tunnels too.

OK, I don't know WHO'S story is correct. But- I WILL get to the bottom of it. The gentleman I spoke to in Guest Relations on MONDAY assured me that there IS underground parking, an underground walkway TO the venue and that the only accessible outside point on this walkway was at Jackson and Leland.

I WILL go to Toyota Center and find out for sure and get back with you!!!! Watch here for posts. OR- you can pm me and I will include you on a "Toyota Center" email that I send out to my Word Nerd group.

Hi All- just an EXTREMELY quick note to let you all know that some folks have expressed concerns over the information I shared last week about the bus parking and supposed meeting area for the Idols.

I spoke with my contact at Toyota Center again today- he reiterated EVERYTHING he told me last week. He agreed that it IS true that there is no underground parking for the PUBLIC. There is absolutely NO PUBLIC access to this underground parking he's referring to. The entrance to this "garage" off of Leeland and Jackson (google maps: 1734 Leeland St., Houston, TX) faces a field. This lot is typically rented out to accomodate stage hands, etc. for a show and this is where the performers ENTER and EXIT the underground parking and walkways they use to get to the venue. He said AGAIN that there is NO GUARANTEE that any of the performers WILL stop however, this is where they access the venue. He also said that the general public is NOT ALLOWED inside this lot- but, it has become the "hangout" for autographs, etc. before, during and AFTER shows.

I have someone attending Crue Fest next week (Tuesday) and she has agreed to "scope" out the situation at Toyota Center for us in lieu of me driving down there just yet. However, if she is unable to find anything out or her information differs to far from what I've been told I will go to Toyota Center during an upcoming show on August 2nd and find out everything I can about how the stalking takes place!!!!!

My husband called the Toyota Center again yesterday, also, and they keep telling him that there is no underground parking for tour busses, or underground access walkway at Jackson and Leland. The only access was the skywalk. I just want to have things cleared up as much as you. Please let me know if you find out anything else. I'm completely confused right now! Take care.

If you google map the address at 1734 Leeland St. Houston, TX (do a street level view/satellite view) and you can SEE the garage entrance he's referring to and you will see the entrance to the garage. Like I said- there is NO PUBLIC entrance into this garage/lot. But, I see no gates- I see no official barricade. I'm sure there will be security but, I see nothing else there at the moment. That's the best I can do at the moment. I WILL post MORE info after Crue Fest next week. Until then- that's ALL the information I have.

I, too, am only 15 minutes from Toyota Center- but, I don't believe it will do me any good to go down there when there is not a show. I just don't think I can find out anything further without there being a performance so I can SEE the buses and the "fans" gathering. So, if not on Tuesday- then August 2nd. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!!

You should go do the backstage tour and satisfy your curiosity and OCDD- there's nothing wrong with that!!! You might be able to provide us ALL with some very valuable information. You might get answers that we need. Maybe the person giving the tour is a fan of something and has stalked and you will be able to probe for info!!!

OK, I KNOW- I sent a message yesterday- but, I have to do this or I'm gonna just bust...

CURRENTLY- there is a 2.5 day break between Utah shows and ST. Louis...and DC said in an a recent interview that he's flying to LA to work on the album...I IMAGINE- everyone is getting a break and that the buses will be traveling on to St. Louis without them.

There is a 2.5 day break between Tampa and Houston tour stops.

Do you think it's LIKELY that the same scenario might play out??? Buses here- with no Idols??? Gaaaaaaaah!!! I freaked out at the prospect of this...
