Great mental picture smile.gif Hahah, thanks for that laugh.gif

I'd love to go then, considering that's my B-day, but I highly doubt my parents would fly me from PA to Tacoma...

I'm from around the Vancouver area and would REALLY love to go to Tacoma for the concert. However, I have no sure way of getting there (I don't drive) and I'm not sure who'd come along with me.
lafingalthex
My tickets for the Tacoma show in hand and 2 more. One is for my soon-to-be daughter in law. The other is for my son. My son thinks we're taking him to a Dane Cook show.....and we're letting him think this until the day of the show! lol He's really excited about seeing Dane Cook live! lol

I just can't help it. It's not often we can pull one over on my son because he's quite intelligent. In HS, everyone nicknamed him "Potter" because he wore glasses and had brown hair. He could never figure out why the girls went all ga-ga over him. I kept telling him that the "right" girls love nerds and especially rockers or ones who drove race cars! His dad did both hence how my son came to be! lol

Cool! I live in Vancouver!!! I'd offer to give you a ride, but I'm going down with my friend's mom and all 4 seats in her car are filled ... sad.gif
If you really want to go, I'm pretty sure they have Greyhound buses that go down to Tacoma (I've taken one to Seattle a few times).
Where in Vancouver are you?

Aww, hope he isn't disappointed when he finds out it's not Dane Cook.
Dane Cook is a comedic genius. I would be just smitten if I saw him live!

I'm going to the Tacoma show with my two sisters - had to pay $200/per ticket - I think we got good seats but who knows - never been there before. Staying at the Best Western basically right across the street - at least we won't have to pay for parking!

Thanks for your consideration!
I went out on a limb last weekend and purchased two tickets off of Ticketmaster! They're in 16A - I don't know if they're good seats or not, but I'm happy just as long as I'm in the Dome. I still have to convince my dad to drive my friend and I there. I'm pretty sure he will if I ask nicely and am responsible in planning the day out in advance.
I'm from around the Tri-Cities area.

Well, they promised me they are close to the stage - not on the floor but in the lower level Section 15A Row 14 kind of in the middle seats I guess 14-15-16 - so yeah I would really like to know if I am going to need my husband's heavy duty binocs or not!!!

Thanks!

Woo Hoo!! People!!
I was thinking for a while that no one was going to the Tacoma concert! blink.gif

I also thought no one was going cause I’m like the ONLY one at work…sometimes it seems like I’m the only one in the North End (of Seattle) that wants to see DC, and the others weren’t bad either so it should be pretty good. I’m so glad I decided to look in this topic and found this thread!

I totally guilt tripped my buddy at work to go with me, he was a big Archie fan and the night of the finale he called me SUPER pissed, but he’s gotten over it now (I think J) Well gotten over it that he teases me about my DC luv all the time, but he was the one who sucked me back into AI in the first place so he HAS to go with me, right?

We are gonna be in Section 1 row 7 seats 99, 100, not to sure if those are good but they better be cause I paid a crap ton for em. I got the tickets from a different site other than ticket master so I’m kinda nervous, however it’s the same site I got my U2 tickets when they were at the Key (arena) a few years back. And also Ticketmaster kinda pissed me off when JT came to the T-dome last summer, cause I was ON THAT like white on rice and ended up getting crappy seats.

It should be ok though, right before I came on here I got an e-mail form the site reminding me that its only 34 day left!!

btw: Dane Cook IS the bees knees, hope he dosent get too mad lafingalthex...

I am officially jealous of your seats!! You need to take lots of pictures for me, because where I'm sitting I'm going to need 3 sets of binoculars and kleenex to wipe my bloody nose laugh.gif
Here's a link to the seating (from what I can figure out, you're in the blue section)

I can't believe there's 34 days left!! Woo Hoo!

No jealousy friend, at least you don’t have to explain to everyone that you paid almost a months rent to go see this show. And you bet your sweet bippy I will be sharing those pics!!! I just bought a new digital camera, gonna pick up an extra battery and Ive got a 2 gig, 1 gig and 32MB data cards that are commin with me too!

I figured I was in the blue section, but am a bit concerned it will be the grey 1A area in the back, we will see. The tickets shipped today and I should get them on Wednesday.

33 days!!

The Tri-Cities meaning the Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam-Port Moody vicinity.

Speaking of cameras, what are good digital cameras for concerts?

Ooohh, thanks for clearing that up for me! Haha. My grandma lives in PQ, so you'd think I would know that... but nope laugh.gif

And unfortunately I can't help you out with cameras. I have a Canon myself and love it, but it's definitely past it's prime.

You are actually 4 rows ahead of my daughter and I. We're in 15A Row 18 seats 7 and 8. From everyone I've talked to about it (and I've hardly been able to contain my excitement so EVERYONE has heard about it) they are going to be great seats and we'll be able to see everything.

My question is does the dome allow cameras?? Or is it up to AI if they will allow it?

Well, when we get there we will look for you in those two seats in that row! Are you from the Tacoma area? - we are driving down from Vancouver and staying right across the street at the Best Western (I don't think it's going to be too glitzy- but when I called the make the reservation they told me we got the second to last room available for that night - so at least we don't need to pay for parking!!!

I think cameras as in digital are allowed. I'm bringing all my binoculars anyway, even though it seems we will be relatively close - my sisters and I are besides ourself waiting to see DC - (and we really shouldn't be because we are all long in the tooth cougars for sure)!! We are all a little loopy over this boy at the moment....

Fed ex just delivered my tickets!!!

Floor 1, row 7 seats 15 and 16!!!

Everyone…feel free to shoot me a message with your e-mail if you would like and I can send you the pics I take. Lets all keep in contact so we can all share our stories after the show!!

And as far as cameras, when I went to JT last summer it was not big deal if you had it discreetly concealed on your person, and who can stop all the camera phones these days…however they do search bags and purses so it prob will not be good to bring all your high tech recording gear…just kidding! smile.gif

Word to that sister.

Have fun staying at the Hotel! That sounds really fun.

And don’t mind the smell...its called the "Tacoma Aroma" Honestly I’m a bit embarrassed by it. I live in the north end of the greater Seattle area, so I don’t have to deal with it…JT last year in the T-Done mentioned it during his concert, that’s one reason why it’s a bit embarrassing sad.gif

Not to worry, they'll have jumbo screens for your enjoyment.
My seats are around the same area as yours are, so I'll have extra kleenex if needed laugh.gif

Hey guys, could I please get your opinions? Which of the following are better seats: 16A, Row 17, and by the aisle closer to the stage, or FLR 5, Row 25 (that's in the middle row of that section), and by the left aisle?

It depends on how tall you are. In my opinion I would go with 16A only because I'm 5'7 and sometimes can't see in front of the people in front of me.
I sat in row 30 for Janet Jackson at GM place and the seats were good, but I couldn't really see in front of me! Haha.

While row 25 is closer then 16A, you might be able to see more at the 16A seats.

Thanks for your response! I'm quite small (5'2") so I think I'll stick with the original seats in 16A. I spoke with my friend earlier today (she's been to more concerts than I have) and she agrees that the lower-level would be better.
