Sorry, guys - I was out of town for the weekend, with limited internet access. Anyway, I want to get you input on this! It's going to be one of those silicon/rubbery Lance Armstrong-type bracelets. For color, I was thinking a gray/purple swirl. Gray is the official color for brain tumor awareness, and purple is the official color of the American Brain Tumor association, as well as the general cancer awareness color. I am, however, open to suggestion.

It will have print on it, so I was thinking something like "David Cook Rocks", or just "Cook Rocks", or "Rock on David Cook". Again, I'm open to suggestions. I want this to be a sort of "of the people, for the people" thing, so let me know what you'd like to see, and I'll try to make it happen!

By the way, I just wanted to say that I know there are other bracelet projects going on, and I've tried to contact the people in charge to see if we can work together, but haven't gotten any response. I definitely don't want to create any kind of rift, but I've already started this, and I already have almost 100 orders, so it's not like I can just stop. I'm really passionate about this, and I've invested a lot so far, so please don't think I'm trying to start fights. I know what I'm doing, and I know it's for the right reasons, and so I'm going to push on. Cool? Cool! In the end, we all want the same thing. And that's David Cook.

So, I was supposed to be interviewed by a local FOX affiliate tonight to promote the bracelets and the "Bring Adam Back" fund, but unfortunately I got bumped. :-( Hopefully it will air soon, which would be great. Hey guys - just letting you know the progress on things. The first 300 bracelets have been ordered, and will be in next week, and which point I will ship them! So if you're one of the first 300 people to order (hopefully we'll close in on it in the next few days), you should get your bracelet before the finale!

I know there are some other bracelet deals going around, and I think they're all great! Anything that supports David is wonderful! All are unique, and the reason I'm still doing mine is because a) I've already started and have many orders so far, and because I really believe in these causes. I've been in touch with Cathy (who runs http://www.helpbringadamback.com/ , and I really really want to be able to give tons of money to that fund. And the more bracelets we sell, the more money to the fund!

Hey guys! Just to reiterate - the first batch of bracelets HAVE been ordered, and will be shipped to everyone who's ordered one before the finale! They will be swirled purple and gray, and they say DAVID COOK ROCKS. I'll try to get the mock-up picture I got from the company on the website when I get home tonight.

Oh, and remember how I was supposed to be interviewed by the local FOX affiliate last week? Well, they set up a meeting with me in a public square, and then never showed! I sent them an e-mail and they said "Oh sorry, a big story came up" etc. I told them I was still available, and they said "Oh great, we'll contact you tomorrow". And of course, they never did. I reminded them this week, but they didn't get back to me. It just kind of ticked me off - they contacted me in the first place, and then just totally blew me off and left me standing (in the cold) without so much as a phone call or e-mail to cancel. I'm just sad that I didn't get the publicity (and thus bracelet orders) that a news story may have yielded.

OK, that's my rant for now. Maybe it's just combined with antsy-ness for tonight!

Don't forget to order your bracelets if you haven't already. Half the money is going to the fund to send Adam Cook to the finale, and that portion of the money will have to be donated by sometime next week, obviously, probably in the day or so after we find out that David's made the finale (next Thursday or Friday). So, order up!

Ha ha...that would've been interesting, but possibly too many letters. I decided to just stick with something simple and to the point. I think it sums up his existence pretty well, don't you?

Yes everyone, the bracelets are still available! The money will still be split between the Cook family and the ABTA. They're still selling like hotcakes, and I need to update the website to reflect that we're, uh, not really working on sending Adam to the finale anymore! But Adam WAS at the finale, and I got a chance to meet much of the Cook family and they were nice and gracious and wonderful! I gave them all bracelets, of course. To prove it, here's a great pic of David wearing the bracelet during the AIExtra taping.
