Oh well, I was hoping David would be singing the Elimination song, but I'm glad it's Carrie... I love her too. The song sounds good, but David could have sung Home Sweet Home too and very well, I might add. Man, a duet would have been nice!

I'm bummed!!!!

I read somewhere that the "retiring" Idol never sings the elimination song the year after they won. I'm not that "in the know" on Idol facts, just passing along something I read. Like I said, I don't know if that a true fact or not.

I was wondering that myself and was trying to remember what season Daughtry was in because I remember they played his "Home" as the elimination song on season 6. Was Daughtry in season 4 or 5? Now I can't remember! Wouldn't it be great if David sings the goodbye song for next season.

I never heard that the 'retiring' Idol couldn't do that. I guess Daughtry could get away with having the elimination song because he didn't actually win season 5. But Carrie's an amazing singer, so it's nice to hear her have the elimination song. Maybe it'll be a song by David next season.
