Guess you didn't buy or hear the album. It has been out for over 5 months
i did 
i listened to it over 1 million times i just found out barbasol was named after shaving cream

Hahaha.. That's hilarious. I always wondered what It meant.. 
I buy the brand for my hubby! 
I saw in another thread that they were talking about Bar-ba-Sol and shaving cream,
now I get it.
I've been trying and trying to figure out what Cook says before one of his performances of Bar-ba-Sol (on the tour). I finally got it today!! He says: "And no, it's not about shaving cream...if anyone wants to know!" LOL
Still wonder where the name of the song came from....I'm going with the theory that someone put forth like this: A guy has a rough night out at the bar...wakes up the next morning hung over and beat up...looks at himself in the mirror and reaches for shaving cream...then remembers everything that happened the night before.
Not that our guy Mr. Cook would EV-AH misbehave like that at a bar! Still, it's an awesome song and one of my faves from DCTR!

It's a cover from the band injected. They thought the chorus sounded like a barbershop quartet, hence the name bar-ba-sol
I'm requesting Come back to me on kyky 98 here is st. louis, but my question is about barbasol. Is it ready now to have it requested on the radio stations now? And if so should I only request it on rock or alt. rock stations?
I love that song and everytime I see it at kmart i think of the song though. Does it rock live in concert??

lol, this is the real reason they named it bar-ba-sol though!
it is originally from another band called injected and cook was allowed to do a version of it, it was a joke between the band injected because it reminded them of a barbershop quartet, hence the name bar-ba-sol after the popular shaving cream!
