I def. think that last weeks bottom 2 should have been brooke nd jason. brooke tottaly messed up nd she really stunk on that preformance and jason was not dat good and i hate his hair!

I personally think that Brooke just got a lot of sympathy votes but I don't know.
I liked Syesha's performance and most def Carlys.
Jason wasn't that good and Brooke...of course.
But David was still my favorite

I would have guessed that Jason & Brooke would have been in the bottom 2. I really thought Brooke would have been the one to leave. Her performances have not been very good the past few weeks. The busy schedule that the contestants have to keep seems to be getting to be too much for Brooke.

I think the Bottom 2 wasn't correct if you're basing just on last week's performances. However, overall performances, Carly just hasn't been cutting it. She might have a good voice but there's definitely something lacking in her performances otherwise she would've developed more of a fan base from the get go. Syesha, again she has a great voice, but no stage presence whatsoever. She doesn't connect with the audience. I was never a KLC fan, and I would much rather see KLC still there than Syesha...she should have been gone weeks ago.

And I think that Carly had a point when she said that the girls have it tougher this season than the guys. First of all, I'm willing to bet that FAR MORE females watch AI than males. And let's face it, the Top 6 guys are very easy on the eyes. Plus there has been differences between them. MJ and DC both fall in to the "rocker" or "blues" category, and let's face it DC has a lot more talent and much bigger fan base which is why MJ went home. And Jason, has a HUGE fan base as well. Not only is he a cutie pie, but he's different. Not just by the way he looks, but his sound is something that AI has never seen. Trust me, I want DC to win this thing, but I definitely think that Jason should definitely still be there. I have all of his performances on my iPod as well, and lately I find myself listening to them more than DC's. He's a great artist. So he had a bad song choice I definitely don't think that means he should've gone home.

And as far as Brooke goes, yeah she screwed up, not just last week but on "Every Breath You Take" as well. I think at this stage in the game that is unacceptable. But then again, Archie and Carly also screwed up their lyrics this week as well. After she started in ended up being a pretty good performance, regardless of what the judges said. I have her performances on my iPod too and I can understand why people like.

At this point in the competition, people are going to be upset whenever anyone goes home because they are all so talented this year. But its a competition and if they built up the fan base from the get go, they're definitely going to stick around. That just the way it goes. Someone HAS to go, and that's the way cookie crumbles. (I didn't mean anything by that last statement, just a coincidence that I said cookie! )

The bottom 2 should have been Jason and Brooke. I wouldn't have been surprised if Jason didn't go in the bottom 2, but I was surprised Brooke didn't. I think either Brooke or Syesha will go next..

yeh but to amm11383, based on last weeks preformance, carly should not have gone home, she was amazing! and jason based on the preformance should have gone home. nd because of the fan base people that should win end up going home.

But that was exactly my point, at this stage it's not the current performance that is the only playing card. If that was the case, DC was in serious trouble after Innocent because that wasn't up to his normal par. At this point people have their favorites and its going to take something major to make them not vote for them...especially after the MJ debacle. Based solely on this week's performances, then you guys are all absolutely right, Syesha and Carly shouldn't have been in the bottom 2. But if you take into consideration ALL of the past performances then, in my opinion, the bottom 2 was spot on. Neither of them has made that "connection" with the audience, yeah they can sing but stage presence is a big part of it, and they don't have it. Archie is a classic example of this, he has a great voice, don't get me wrong, but I absolutely can't stand watching his performances because they are boring. Jason's performances are never boring because he has personality and likability, so even when his performances aren't that great, you still get sucked into them. The same can be said for Brooke, so she screwed up, but its also all that everyone could talk about. There's no such thing as bad publicity, publicity is publicity. It got people talking about her. And VFTW is vying on that and that alone, they're pulling for her waiting for her to screw up again so they can laugh at her when she goes home. But there's something truly genuine about her and I think that's why people like her.

Does it suck when people go home earlier than they probably should? Well, yeah...Chris Daughtry is going to take that to his grave with him. It doesn't matter how successful he becomes, people will still always remember that year that he should've won AI. But that's the whole premise of this show, and all like it, the only way around getting the talented people to stick around longer is get rid of America's vote being the what picks the winner. What they should do is what Dancing With the Stars does, and have the judges opinions actually mean something. Let them rate the contestants or vote for who should stay (or go), and let that count for 50% of the total vote and let America make up for the other 50%. That way you've got people in the music business who are not only critiquing you but also somewhat determining your fate. And it would cut out at least some of the popularity contest vibe of the show. But then again that's Pop music, its what's popular at the time, not what's going to sell the most records and certainly not the most talented. And the producers of the show know who will and won't be appealing to the American people, and that's who they put on the show. The likable ones go first and the ones who are appealing (whether it be for talent, personality, or looks) stay around and win. It just all depends on who people want to vote for.

So there you have it, if you want someone to stay you need to vote for them. If you don't vote for your favorite then you really have no right to complain. That's my opinion.

yeh ur kind of right. i mean during the whole compitition everyone has messed up, even david cook, on happy together. SO EVERYONE VOTE DAVID COOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not all that sad for Chris Daughtry. He is doing mighty fine for himself. Bo Bice had it worse because he was forced to do a CD that really wasn't his style at all. As he put it, you could insert singer here. I'm glad he has gone Indie and has total control over his music. He may not get much promotion, but he is happy putting out his music.

At this point, people have picked their favorites and they could downright stink on stage and they will get the votes. I'm curious to see how this all plays out. No matter what, though, I think that David has made a very positive impression and will go far with his music. I'm very happy about that because I think we are in store for some great CDs in the future.
