I like this, describes the album and his music well:

Comment from his official website about the album: Gutsy and epic, but grounded in the personal, the songs are tailor-made for those magical moments when music, whether it be uplifting or heart-breaking, can transport you to another place, which is exactly what Cook intended. “I want my album to be an exhausting experience, in that you listen to it and have to take a breath to collect yourself, and immediately need to listen to it all over again,” he says. “I want people to hear it and feel like they just ran a 5K marathon.”

No one can ever really describe an album like the person who created it. I love that record so much. smile.gif

It's funny that now David is actually doing a 5K.... so now he'll know exactly what that's like. smile.gif

I agree! I like David's description, listening to his music is an "exhausting experience," it transports me to another place just like the author notes, it is "heartbreaking" and "up-lifting" as well as "magical." I just love the lyrics, how they can penetrate your soul and leave you different than when you started- either excited, sad, or whatever. The lyrics seem to provide a special comfort that speaks to the listener- I love it! wink.gif

Yes, but I bet after the 5K, he won't want to do it again!

Well he probably won't end up actually running the entire thing... lucky for him (and a lot of others, I'm sure) it's a 5K run/walk. Personally, I would definitely be walking haha.
