i enjoy watching and listening to kris allen. does anyone else like him?

i feel the same way. adam is good in his own way...but i dont want him to win. i get soo tired of his screaming. Danny and Kris have wayyy better voices. and i can only see myself buying kris'. danny's, and allisons cds.

I am Kris Allen fan and with Matt gone (my other fav) I hope he is in the finally!

My favorites in the top 10 this season have been Matt, Kris and Allison. I definitely think Kris is talented and marketable and he's been the dark horse all season so I'm hoping for an upset and for Kris to win it all The unfortunate thing for him (and the others in the competition) is that most of the media attention has been reserved for Adam and to a lesser extent Danny so they've all flown mostly under radar. And it doesn't help that the judges don't seem to give Kris nearly the amount of praise he deserves.

Major Kris fan here. During Hollywood week when I first heard Danny, I thought, wow, I could be looking at the next American Idol...then I heard Kris...I've been hooked every since and would love to see him win! I agree with Tee though, he isn't getting the attention he deserves. Adam screams way to much for me and although I think he has talent, I don't think he is a touring recording artist...so I say to Adam - stay in theatre where you can thrive.

if kris goes home tomorrow then i won't be a happy camper. i think hes the true underdog and deserves to win the competition (not to mention that hes extremely cute )

Poor kid was thrown under the bus. Then it backed up over him on its way out of the Idoldome. It was glaringly clear last night that they want Kris gone. Danny did not sound better than Kris on the duet and, I apologize in advance to Danny fans, but he sounded awful on Dream On last night. That note at the end sounded like some animal dying. The judges looked kind of smirky to me after that performance but they followed their script and gave very little criticism to Danny and still said they expect him to be safe. And then the comment was made to Allison during her duet with Adam that he (Adam) may have saved her. So, hm...let's see, who does that leave out? I think even Kris knew it because he looked so disheartened.

During the whole time listening top Danny sing Dream On all I thought about was Michael Johns and what happened to him when he sang that song and IMO Michael did it WAY better!

Kris has a really nice voice, I like Danny a lot too, Allison is pretty good. I hope either Danny or Kris will win this year.

Love Kris...so happy he was safe last night....but.....I also like Alison. I thought for sure Kris would be going home, but I was hoping Danny would go home. He is boring, IMO. Adam creeps me out, but he can sing (on certain songs), and it is obvious the judges are going to make sure he wins, if possible. I really did enjoy Allison's and Adam's duet, though.

BTW--totally off topic. Can I say I will soon need to change my siggy...my son will be home from Iraq this month!! It has been 15 long months.

I think Kris is amazing and would really like to see him win. If Adam and Danny step on one another enough, Kris could possibly pull it off! Next week should be interesting with judges choice.

l'm in love!!!

Slowly but surely he has grown on me and is my favorite! He knows how to make a song his own in a subtle way. I really liked him this past week and he was torn apart. I'd love to see him sneak into those finals. I think he has really grown as an artist and deserves it!

Kris has been my favorite all season! I mean, he's not even in David's league, but his voice is very relaxing and he has his own unique sound. Adam has gotten on my nerves from day 1 and Danny is great but I don't think he deserves to win over Kris. As I watch idol getting close to the end this year I am constantly reminded of the excitement we had last year. I miss seeing David on TV each week! It's like missing an old friend haha

I am also a Kris Allen fan. He is great. I just want to add, I found out the other day that Kris and 2 of his friends made a EP called Brand New Shoes. He is gonna be releasing it after Idol I guess. Anyways, a lot of the songs have leaked online. They are really good.

I am a HUGE Kris fan. I'm also a huge Danny fan, and I want that finale to happen so that I can be ecstatic for whoever wins. Love them both, they're both fantastic artists... guys... we can't let Adam get into that finale, or else Kris or Danny (whoever gets through) won't have a chance. It's like it's been set up for Adam to win all season, and I am looking for the biggest upset in the show's history tomorrow night.

Who else was blown away from Kris's rendition of 'Heartless'? Randy was so right. I think it's a million times better than the original (and I really like the original)

I've had no particular attachment to any contestant this season, but Kris was amazing tonight. I would love for him to be in the finale. He's the true artist on the show. He does all his own arrangements and keeps that humbleness that makes him loveable. To me, he's this season's David Cook - talented, humble, an artist. The judges say Adam is an artist, but did anyone else hear Simon say that he was the one who arranged the song, not Adam? KRIS did his own arrangement. I don't like Kanye West and Kris made me love that song.

I also loved Apologize. I think Kara was unfair to him and, as Simon said, a cop out. She picked the song...

I also am so tired of the judges' constant pimping of Adam and their disrespect for everyone else. I just don't know why they are trying so hard to pass Adam off as some rock god. He's not; he's a Vegas-style performer who happens to have a really good voice, but I'm so turned off by his screeching, strutting, and posing, not to mention the layers of makeup.

I much prefer the genuine artistry of Kris. He grew on me slowly, over the season (unlike David Cook who sucker-punched me from the start and I still haven't caught my breath!) I like the way Kris arranges his songs; unique but not in the Adam "I need all the attention" sort of way. And I like that he plays both guitar and piano.

Everyone seems to think Adam is a slam-dunk for the win, but I seriously think Kris has a good chance against Adam, if he gets by Danny this week. I think Adam will be in the finals and then if Danny goes home this week, I think Danny's votes go to Kris in the finals and Kris wins!! I can't see Danny voters voting for Adam.

They each did 2 songs last night. Judges pick was "Apologize" by One Republic. Kris played piano. Kris's song choice was "Heartless" by Kanye West and he played acoustic guitar. His rendition of Heartless was great; nothing like the original. The judges FINALLY gave showed him some love on Heartless. It was the best performance of the night, IMO.

BTW, dialidol this morning is too close to call. They list Adam as first, but won't commit to saying he's safe (thus the 1-3 notation).

Kris was either in the bottom 3 or dead last on dialidol on weeks when he wasn't even in the bottom 3 on Idol. Enough speculation, we'll find out tonight!

Kris KILLED it last night! Heartless was the first time that I was truly captivated by a performance this season. Yea there have been some spectacular ones, but that one just exceeded all expectations! I really hope that Dial Idol's predictions are correct!! I've always thought that Adam was amazing and I'd pay BIG BUCKS to see him on Broadway, but I know that of all of them Kris is going to have the most main stream success and is going to make a phenomenal album... PLUS he's from my area, and David voted for him during top 36 because he was playing in Conway that night!

Heartless was Awesome!

Heartless was amazing. It blew the original and the Fray cover right out of the water. I hope he makes it to the finale and cause a huge upset tonight (as one of the "chosen ones" won't be in the finale).

when kris did heartless last night it BLEW ME AWAY! i have always liked his songs. and the way he adds his own style to them...but this was absolutely amazing. not only was he playing the guitar, but he sang without any backup or other music. and that takes a lot a of talent to pull off something like that, and not to mention guts. kris's version was way better than kanye west's. i dont like kanyes music, but i had to go listen to his version so i could compare it to kris's. WOW. did i say kris is amazing.

you know. he has always reminded me of Jason Mraz, who happens to be my all time favorite singer next to david! and when kris did heartless i thought. WOW that is soo mrazy.

if you dont know jason mraz's stuff and like kris, i would suggest listening to his stuff. its great.

i really hope kris wins. and danny in second. i really dont like adam. he is a performer. he has a good voice, but needs to be in a play or something not on idol.

kris and danny on the other had are superb in singing. THEY deserve it more than adam.

Okay, so this is weird, but I'm replying to my own post
Does anyone else think it was blatantly unfair for Katy Perry to wear Adam Lambert on her cape?!! This is what I meant about the pimping of Adam. Last year, they pulled Analog Heart from Amazon because they didn't want to give Cook any advantage over other contestants. This year, Adam is on the cover of EW and that's okay with them??? They "mistakenly" posted the AI sales at iTunes to show that Adam had the most downloads. Adam has had the pimp position in the line-up more than half the time and when he wasn't last, he was first. They always set him apart from everyone else. I was re-watching the top 7 tonight and during the group performance everyone had sunglasses on except, of course, Adam and he was center stage. Adam's white Hummer limo was even set apart from Kris and Danny's standard black limos (okay, maybe I'm stretching it a little; don't know if AI had a choice on ordering the limos, but I don't put it past them.)

I am just so angry about the blatant attempt at manipulation. I just can't wait until next week when KRIS ALLEN is crowned winner of AI 8 to show the judges and the producers of AI that America can't be manipulated into picking the producers' choice.

Okay, rant over.

I'm very happy for Kris and his family. I feel bad for Danny, but I think he'll have a nice career in Adult Contemporary.

You are 100% correct and I don't blame Adam at all. Last year, I felt like they intentionally gave Syesha a bad producers pick and David the best song and spot just to insure that finale. I think DC was ahead at that time from what I heard, but they had to guarentee DA's spot. I really thought that was unfair to her. This year, it is rediculous. I WOULD LOVE to see Kris win this, not only because he's my favorite, but because of all you have mentioned. No disrespect to Adam, but I would love to see this backfire on the producer's of this show. You would get a great American Idol and the producers would see that they can't do this to the public.

I also have to add that Kris' homecoming, with all the emotion and him playing concerts everywhere should help him along. I felt like I knew him and his family and wouldn't you just like to BBQ with them on a Sunday afternoon? Didn't get that at all from Adam althought I'm sure he's a nice guy and his Mom was touching. I just can't get a handle on who he really is as a person. I get the persona, but not the person. I'm sure he's helping a lot of kids though know they can be who they are and its OK and for that I applaud him. But he didn't even really sing, not that we saw anyway. Back to the pimping thing, did you notice he went back to where his music roots took hold as a child? Hello? Already done last year by David. I didn't buy that the visit was truly organic. Maybe it was, IDK. It's like the limo thing. Everything is suspect in my book now and its too bad.
