I've noticed there hasn't been an " Idol Gives Back " episode on American Idol yet.
Anyone know why?
The usually do it way before the top 4.
There is only 3 weeks left of Idol.

I think there isn't, because as I said it's usually done earlier than now.

I think they said they wouldn't do it this year. It was one of the changes they made along with the new judge and the save.

I had wondered this myself. I looked it up and there was something from about December that they were not doing it this year. I don't know if they thought that with the economy people wouldn't give them the numbers they had last year. It's a shame because every little bit helps. And lots of organizations are still getting donations. Look what we all did this past weekend! Maybe it will be back next yea.

I am still surprised when 2,000,000 dollars was raised for the " Race For Hope ".

I think Idol is making a huge mistake by not doing it this year. Especially if it's because they are worried about not topping last year's numbers. That just means they are doing it for exposure,media and such, because even if they earned a 1/4 of what they did last year It helps.

Didn't they bring back the previous Idol contestants when the do Idol Gives back??
I do agree that it is a huge mistake.
I don't really know for sure their motive for putting it off of the show.
