YAY! happy.gif

I was originally supposed to be going to the one in Atlantic City, cause I thought I was coming home from Hawaii early that morning, but the time difference distracted me, and we're not getting back til 8 in the evening. XD
So after trying, and failing, to get my aunt to change the tickets to get an earlier flight home, my mom was like "...wanna take a drive to Philly? biggrin.gif?"
Me, my mom, and my 4 crazy friends in a car. I pity my father, I really, really, really do.
StephyDee
YAY! You bet I'm going! Finally...some Philly DC fans...rolleyes.gif
KAG526
I'm going. I went to season 4's show and they all had individual sets (like they're doing this year) and it worked well. so yeah, should be fun. :-)
amm11383
i really want to go, not positive though since i have a lot going on at the end of the summer and early this fall. i'll let you all know if i'm going for sure. anyone know how you get into meet and greets?!?!?! b/c i would die if i got a chance to meet david.
Itslaura77
Yes. I am going to the Philly concert! Can't wait to see the Cookie!
RVzLady
Yes - Philly is the closest to me - I'm in Lancaster PA.

I have NEVER been to a single Idol tour - I only go to Clay Aiken concerts.

Clay recently announced he is not touring this summer, so I probably will go to the Philly show JUST to see David.

SOoo, who can pick me up in Lancaster and drive me to Philly? wink.gif If not, I guess there's always Amtrak...
velvetsun
I'll be there!
And the AC show, hopefully smile.gif
velvetsun
Ok...why isn't this show listed on ticketmaster???
Any ideas??
help!

ETA: nevermind...The arena only sells through a local ticket agent. Wonder if they are still having the presale?!

yea... go to the wachovia ticket sales and enter POPTARTS under presales and idols come up.

i've been having a hell of a time with the site though. tried at least half a dozon times and i keep timing out trying to finish the transaction

i really dropped the ball on tickets today. i meant to get up and order right at 10am but instead i stayed up all night and ended up sleeping in until too late to get decent seating.

oh well, i bought a single ticket in several venues so at least i'll be there. i feel silly going alone to some of these venues... but i'll get over it.

cookie jar! lol I never got a chance to PM u back....my situation is, I have absolutely NO way to get there...I have no ride, the buses don't stop anywhere near my house (without walking a couple hours....or 3 LOL) ANNND no trains...the Philly show is closer to me than the AC, but if the opportunity is present, I'd go to both...rolleyes.gif

Philly is about a 30 minute drive for me...AC would be more like 1 HR and 30 MINS....big difference LOL...soooo, I'm not sure what exactly to do...I need to be WITH somebody for this concert...I can't go fangirly on David with no one to hold me down! laugh.gif
jovi86
me and friends will be at this show also. We are section 124, yay! I am glad to NOT be on the floor. I like to be to the side of the stage and a bit elevated. I will have my 10 yr old daughter with me and she is an ARCHIE fan. EWWWWWWWWWWW. She actually had the nerve to ask me last night if she could vote for him. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Of course I said no. Well, more like HELLLLL NOOOOOOOO. Not from this house!!! Go down to grandmom's and use her phone.

Everyone has good seats, I hope? I've never been to Wachovia Center, so I'm hoping that section 114 gives us a good view!
dc-vision
I'm really thinking of going to the show in Philly.

Is anyone familiar with the Wachovia's seating? Best available tickets are in the club level and I can't figure out the seating chart to see where they are.

Trinity4Cook
Philly is a drive for me, but if anyone has extra tickets could you let me know? I'm buying tickets for the Wilkes-Barre show on 9/8, but I would love to meet up with some other fans and get to see David twice!!! Names Kristen, and I'm from Scranton, pm me if you're in or around my area!!!
FallBackIntoMex
This is my 5th idol show at wachovia......YAY!!!!!!

im looking on ebay for tickets....we were out of town when they went on sale.

if anyone has any i would buy them!

yahhh any seat is good in wachovia.....ive been to about 20 events there......and had seats EVERYWHERE any any seat is good.

Security is VERY nice there.....i was floor section 6 row 1 last year and wanted to stand...but the people behind me were being a pain and yelling at me....so security allowed me to sneak up to THE FRONT ROW....and i stayed there for the rest of the show....

if you have never been to wachovia and have questions.........i can probably solve them..so just ask!

DaniTheGirl
I'll be in this concert as well, we might now find a way to get backstage passes. wink.gif

I STILL need a ride to this show....anyone willing to gimme a lift? I live like 20-25 mins away from Philly, and I live in NJ, if that helps...and I'll pay ya gas money, if that's the only thing that'd stop ya....

I sound desperate, hahaha.....but I am.... O_o

So....any takers? Please? I'd give you a cookie.... happy.gif

Hi Cookie-Friends of Philadelphia !

My name is Chris, and I live in Brazil ! Sorry for any english mistakes ! unsure.gif

I need a huge favour from everyone who'll have the opportunity to meet David in Philadelphia.

I beg you to give him this message:

Tell him that: HE HAS THOUSANDS OF PASSIONATE FANS IN BRAZIL WHO ARE WAITING FOR HIM IN OUR COUNTRY IN 2009 !

I thank in advance to everyone who remembers to tell him this message !

You will be doing a HUGE favor for me and the thousands of fans who is now following the tour by your posts, videos and photos, praying and dreaming with the day we can live the same emotion your are living - see David in person, hug him, talk to him, taking photos with him, and so on ! rolleyes.gif wub.gif

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH !!!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!

So...i FINALLY confirmed that i will be going to this show. biggrin.gif My seats are not as good as they will be for the AC show (I'm front row on the side of the stage for AC)...i'll be in section 108, but at least it's not last section on the floor. Originally, i thought our seats would be better...but i'm not complaining. Any and every chance to see Cookie is a chance i am willing to grab.

I HAVE to manage to meet the man at one of those shows, darn it! smile.gif

So...any plans for a D-C.Org meet up before the show???
jersey_grl20
Me! Me!! I'll be there. I'm soooo excited. Center section, floor seats.
Rita
Wow, looks like I've been gone for some time.
I missed all these replies!

Haha, I got my tickets a while ago, and my friend Renee and I came up with the cutest idea.
We were gonna make David a Build-A-Bear; like an actual bear. But we went to the mall and she decided "omg omg omg! Let's make him a turtle!" lmao. So we're gonna make him a turtle, and the shell's a backpack! So we're gonna put an extra outfit in there. We're gonna dress it in a pirate shirt/headband, some jeans, little boxer-briefs, boots, and an electric guitar. We're gonna try to find little mini iron-on letters to put an AC on the bottom corner.
And pirate PJs in the shell-backpack. :]

Any input on how that sounds?

Stephy, I might be able to give you a ride. We have one more empty seat in the car. :]
And we're coming from NJ! Which city are you in? Cause we're coming from central, so if you only live 25 minutes away we'll probably end up passing your town anyway.

do u know where the buses come in? i've really only been to wachovia for flyers games, so i've never had to worry about that before. and the one concert i went to there i didn't really care about meeting the buses. i've heard it's hard to get to the buses unsure.gif i do agree tho that almost any seat in wachovia is good, and security is really nice biggrin.gif

Hey guys, my name is kandece and I'm new to the boards. But i am totally going to the concert and I am soo excited. My seats are section 109 row 6 and let me tell you those are pretty freaking amazing seats. I am always at the wachivoa center for the flyers games and other concerts. I was there for both season 4 & 5 concerts and it was amazing. so i am really really excited for this one.

Also if anyone wants to know more about their section to see exactally how close you will be just let me know and i can help you and send you the map.

p.s. i know that they park their buses underground at the center but has anyone met any idols there from the previous shows and if you have where do you go?
DaniTheGirl
Well guys, I'm finally here in Philly, actually in North Wales, PA, but you know what I mean.

We need to find out everything about where the buses will be, after parties, backstage and all this stuff.

I also have a question for those who know the place where the concert will take place.

Which seats are better: Floor 1 or 3 on the 4th row OR Section 123 row 1? (I really need this answer)

I would think floor seats, but at the same time, it's probably going to just be a mass of people on the floor so you could somehow squirm to the front (which is so what I'm doing. putting those general admission concert skills to good use)

ok, so the buses don't actually park underground... they kind of go under a tunnel, but when they stop, they're still technically above ground. that area is by the VIP section in the back.

Ok, this underground parking is really annoying the crap outta me. ...so if the buses stop before going underground, then that means there's a good chance they'll come over and talk with the fans.
I'm stressing because the other show i'm going to (AC) has underground parking and a lot of people are telling me that there is little chance of them coming out at BH based on past tours. i find that hard to believe since i don't think they've blown off the fans at any of the shows so far, have they?? Good lord...i need to relax. LOL

Evidentally, the underground parking is not that unusual...and they have come out before every show so far, i believe. David especially has been amazing with the fans. (in Columbus i heard he was out there for almost 2 hours), so i am trying to stay positive about my chances of meeting him. smile.gif
Christiiine
I went to the AI concert last year and it was my first time. I asked around for info on what time to get there at to meet them and stuff.
So i arrived at 1:00pm, and I saw a group of people lined up against a fence sitting and they had idol shirts on so I figured they were there to meet the idols too.
A little later we saw the tour buses come in. The fence were were lined up against had like a big parking lot kind of thing on the level below us so we got to see the idols come out of their tour buses. They were mingling around a little and everyone kept asking them to come up. They promised they would but they had to go into sound check and stuff.
Later Shyamali Malakar, Sanjaya's sister came out and talked to us through a fence. She was really nice! Ahaha, she told us the idols are really busy but they'll probably be able to come out soon. So I waited for a long time with my friends. Luckily soon Chris Richardson and Sanjaya came out to sign autographs. They were behind a black fence but it was still cool. Then after the concert I waited with a big crowd of people at the fences again for about 30min-1hour... not sure. and Chris Rich, Phil Stacey, Blake Lewis, and Melinda Doolittle came out to meet fans.
I'm a huge Blake fan so I was really excited to meet him, unfortunately, a security guard pulled him away from the crowd before he could sign my stuff. sad.gif
But anyways, I dunno if it's going to be the same this year.
Hopefully the idols will come out through the building so they aren't behind a fence.

&& look out for me, I'll be in Floor Section 9 Row 5!
Hope to see you guys there!!
JiggaWhatJulie
I finally found a ticket that was suitable for my 'ticket snobbishness' : floor 3, row 4. Paid a good deal for it, but I'm excited. As of the moment I'm trekking it alone, but I told my parents I would pay for their tickets as well if they wanted to go.. but they said to hold out and see if I can pull up seats for them on the comcasttix site instead.

Needless to say, I'M SO EXCITED!! biggrin.gif

btw, does anyone know how many seats there are in a row? I can't find it anywhere.

i think during the break or before the show we should meet up or something and try talking to secuirty or people at the venue and see if we can find away to meet the idols

cause i know people who have done that before and im gonna aslo talk to my cousin cause he is a secuirty and he works at the eagles stadium during footbal
