i've been noticing that alot of people don't like her.
last night my friend said, and i quote "i hate syesha".
i just don't get it, and how she's in the bottom 3 [now 2] almost every week...

am i one of the only ones that finds her to be one of the best this year?

I like her voice but to me she seems too much of a diva.

i think she has a great voice. but besides last week's performance, she doesn't quite connect with the song fully. she sings them well, but that's about it. and i don't know about anyone else, but when she speaks, she's very self-centered and self-focused, and i feel as if she thinks she's better than everyone. i think its the total package that people don't like, or at least in my opinion. she's go the voice, but it kind of ends there.

I like her singing (most of the time), but there is something about her personality that is at times very repulsive to me. Maybe she is just trying to be playful and interesting, but I'm a bit tired of hearing her talk about herself 90% of the time on camera. She keeps repeating how only a select group of her friends can understand her, implying that there is no hope for the rest of the world to ever unravel the great mysteries of Syesha. I don't think that's going to make many love her. Admittedly, I haven't combed the internet for Syesha videos, but I also don't recall any footage of her engaging with other people without being prompted first. I don't hate her, I'm just completely indifferent (BTW, she has the fewest votes on the AOL poll, which is way behind any of the others in the top 6, and while the web poll obviously doesn't correlate with idol votes, I think it shows that fewer people out there care that much for Syesha).

I also find her very divaish vocally she is the best everyone basically knows that BUT she seems very annoying to me very I want to be whitney Houston-ish. She should have went home.

i guess its just how she comes off to everyone. some like her and some dont. she has a great voice but its just her attitude.

This just made me think to wonder out loud here -- why is she never involved with the others in the behind the scenes videos and all that? She doesn't seem to be part of the group. She's always by herself. One clip somewhere she said she's on the phone a lot with people from home.

i saw that, but she actually said she's on the phone alot on wednesdays. which i could understand. i'm sure they're all nervous on wednesday, and it just might be comforting for her to talk to friends/family back at home.

Syesha is awesome. She sings the hardest song every week, has a good range, and always looks amazing. I'd be voting like crazy for her had DC not come into my life.

she does seem distant from the other contestants but i have a feeling she will be a broadway star like fantasia, clay, and that other girl who's name i cant remember right now.

I'm so glad I finally found some other people who like Syesha. I was beginning to think I was the only one. I've always wondered why Syesha has been in the bottom 3 almost every week. I guess she just doesn't have a big fanbase. I think her vocal range is incredible--much better than Brooke and David Archuleta (neither of whom I think should be in the top 5). Now that Michael and Carly are gone, Syesha is my second fave behind Cookie.

i think Syesha is pretty good (better than KLC), but she isn't great. her performances just seem really diva-ish and are totally just impersonations of the actual artist. What confuses me is that she made it to the top 5, even though so many people don't like her. I've never met a person, online or otherwise, who says that they have voted for her or even like her. I'm confuzzled by her.

she's pretty good but i think she'll excell in theater.
