I've been collecting autographs for a few years now, getting David's only in person. (Which, trust me, is fine by me, I'd just like to have another.) I wrote to David using his 19 Recordings address. I included a letter, a self-addressed stamped envelope and a picture for him to sign. I had seen in an interview somewhere where he had said that even though he would be on tour and wouldn't be able to read the letters, he still had photos he had signed and would be sending them out whenever a letter came requesting one. So, about a week later, I got a reply.

I recieved a different picture than the one I sent, no personalization (which, again, is okay by me) but still a very hot photo of him and an authentic signature. It's framed on my wall beside my bed now.

The picture I sent was not returned, so if you plan on sending him a picture, I would send one you don't really care about too much. I've been collecting autographs for more than a year now, so, I usually only send pictures I printed off online, not ones I've bought or anything.




Again, if you don't mind losing those pictures, or you have copies go for it. But if they really mean something to you, I wouldn't chance it. I'm glad you had a good time at the concert. He gives awesome ones, doesn't he?
