I feel really blessed, that God blessed you with the talent and charisma you posses, for many reasons, but first and foremost because that is what brought you into my life. If it wasn't for this crazy little thing called American Idol, and your brother wanting you to tryout with him (wish he would've made it too), then who knows if I would've ever known who David Cook was?!?!?! For that, I'm thankful. You are a breath of fresh air, not only for AI but in the music industry itself. You are genuine and honest, true to your roots. I have a feeling that what you see is what you get, you wear your heart on your sleeve, and you're not afraid to so emotion. True emotion, pure emotion. If you're happy you show it, and if you're sad you show it. I love that. With so many fake people in this world, especially those in the limelight who play on people's emotions to gain celebrity, you merely brush it off. You don't need people's pity or sympathy, you just want them to appreciate you for the artist you are. Again, I love that! And oh, the artist you are. I can honestly say, I was a fan of yours from the get go, but when you sang "Hello" I was hooked (or so I thought). After finding this site, and finding out there were ways for me to purchase your pre-Idol music, I was giddy (yes, I said giddy). Your voice just goes through me, almost haunting, but so much more than that too. Let me just tell you that there isn't a single song on "Analog Heart", that I can't listen to over an over. Each song touches me, in some cases its almost as if you've opened up my head and my heart and put it into beautiful music. "Analog Heart" really got me hooked. I wish there was more, I can't wait for there to be more! I'm not going to bash any of the other contestants, because I feel that you all deserve to be where you are today, but you are the real deal. The complete package. The talent, the voice, the artistry, the stage presence, the looks (yes, I had to say it)...you've got it all! You're the reason why I want to go to the Idols concert. I've never been to one, but I want to go this year, because of you. I want to see what a David Cook performance looks like, sounds like, in person. If there is anyway they will let you do some original stuff, that would be amazing! If not, then I'll have to just wait until you go out on tour on your own. Because there will be David Cook solo tours, especially to promote your post-Idol victory album and of course re-release of "Analog Heart", right? I hope to one day get the opportunity to meet you, because you are an inspiration! Thank you for being you, and bringing such beautiful music into my life!
