I haven't posted here in a while, so I don't know who's still around. But, I know that many of you were following Luke Menard's story after he was diagnosed with cancer last year. He posted this wonderful update on his blog today which I thought I'd bring over here.
QUOTE
... About an hour ago I had my 3 month check-up with my Oncologist. He reported to Lara and I that my last CT scan looked great and that I can officially say that I am in remission. And there is no need for another check up scan for another 4-5 months. That is great news as I'm about to leave on tour for the west coast. There was never any doubt in my mind that the cancer was coming back, but its always a huge relief to hear the doctor say that to me. Especially before my month long tour coming up. ...

Thank you for posting that. I am so happy for Luke and Lara that his CT scan was clear - what sheer joy and thankfulness they must be feeling right now.
BTW - I still have a lot of purple Luke Menard wristbands for sale if anyone is interested. All proceeds go to Luke!!

This is great news! I always liked him and was disappointed that he didn't go further on AI.

I've been following his story for at least a year now. I'm so happy he's doing well! You can follow him on Twitter along with just about everyone else who has very graced the AI stage! I love when they "chat" with each other, share jokes, support each other, etc. It's nice to see that everyone keeps in touch!

This was so nice to read in light of the loss of Patrick Swayze yesterday. I am so happy for Luke and his family!
I hope that doctors will be able to find a cure for all types of cancer and that the success rate for all treatments goes up dramatically very soon!!!!
