I've been a lurker for months and love the site. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why when I download the HQ videos I get sound but no picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At first I couldn't play the *.avi files either.
Then I found a free player called VLC Media Player that plays them beautifully (and large -- even on an 80"screen).
I found VLC Media Player at www.videolan.org and it installed easily and works nicely.

I downloaded it and it plays them nicely. With my Windows Player I could make a dvd from it. Can you do the same with this player? Or are you only able to watch the videos without making a dvd? Thanks again...Amanda

I just signed up so I could say thank you thank you thank you, Travis and X-Factor for these beautiful videos. I watched them all together and felt like I was at a DC concert. You made my day!!

These downloads are incredible. I started panicking right around final 3 time cos of knowing the season's about to end soon and how on earth am I going to get to see David Cook again on such a regular basis?! And that's when I started googling and downloading. I had to come out of lurkdom too just to say a HUGE thanks for making these available!

hi strohmie! to convert videos into ipod-ready videos, you have two options: one is zamzar.com, which is great but a little unreliable, and the second is videora, which is a program you download and install on your computer. that's what i have and i love it, it converts quickly and helps you through step by step. you can even choose which version of the program to download, depending on which ipod you've got.

you need to download a video codec that will play the avi files. go to www.divx.com and download the free codec onto your computer, then the videos will play

i do have a question though... does anybody know where i can get the HQ medleys? i LOVED Cook and MJ during the George Michael medley, the suits, the lyrics and MJ during the Bryan Adams medley was awesome! it was as if HE was giving a concert in that first part with "summer of 69"!!
