Okay, before I start downloading like crazy, do these include the pre-performance interviews and judges' comments. I don't think they do, but I wanted to double check. If not, does anyone know where I can find HQ videos with everything included? I'd really like edited episodes with David Cook only included, but if not, video files with the song, interview, and comments would be great!

can someone upload HERO to other server (Megaupload/rapidshare/mediafire/evilshare)? i hate using Sendspace...its taking like forever for me to download...with 8kb/s

I found a simple free program that plays them nicely, called VLC Media player, available at www.videolan.org
It seems very safe.
Today I was digging into their documentation and they had a wiki with instructions on how to use or convert them in many different ways. Not sure if they have what you want, but it's worth looking into.

Thanks I am able to play the videos on that but I'm not sure if it has the capabilities to make a DVD. Maybe I'm just not seeing the option but I'm having trouble finding a program that plays the videos and then allows you to make a dvd from it. I'm not the best at technology LOL. I like it as simple as possible...Amanda

You can use Quick time pro to convert these, and they'll look great on the ipod..

I just spent the last 3 hours downloading every video and once my husband helped me find the right codec to get the video portion working, I have been in heaven ever since.

I can't even begin to thank you enough Travis!

And OMG my husband actually stood and watched David sing Billy Jean and liked it!! YEAH!!!!!

There's a torrent that has all of these HQ performance videos, GH commercial, and some other stuff converted to *.mp4 for iPod (for on-the-go Cook enjoyment) or Quicktime video.

I have loved viewing the HQ *.avi files on the computer!

Today I got these *.mp4 files, using utorrent.exe. It took a few hours, but I got them imported into iTunes on 2 computers and onto my iPod. The only performance missing is 12 All I Really Need is You (my favorite, but I already bought that one from iTunes).

Thanks a lot for sharing this for those of us who haven't tried conversion yet.

"All Right Now" is just better when followed by the now infamous Word Nerd bit. It satisfies both sides of my .....um .... brain. Being somewhat verbose myself and a fan of rock .... well, you see what I mean.

Did you get the codec that you needed? I finally figured out how to play them on Windows Media Player by downloading the codec that was missing. It told me which I needed and where to download it. Now I'm able to watch and make a dvd which is great...Amanda

Which player are you using? If you download the codec needed for Windows Media Player you should be able to get video and sound. As well as make a dvd...Amanda

these are fantastic but very hard to download & they take up a LOT of room. But I look at a few of my faves before going to bed each night....sweet dreams

First time I have posted---and am going to start off by exposing what a techno-idiot I am!!

When I go to Megaupload, I don't see anything that says "download now" for the videos, as I have for the other videos I have mangaged to download from other areas (actually, you have no idea how amazing it is I have been able to download ANYTHING!! LOL!!!). The only "download now" that I see is for something that looks like it would uplaod a media player or toolbar or something I don't want.

LOL I registered so that I could answer your post. Trying to explain this process is the least I could do since I have been able to download EXCELLENT videos from this site.

So to answer your question, click on the line that states Megaupload (if that is your choice of site) Then you should be on the Megaupload page. You need to enter the 3 letters into the box then click on download. Then the page will change to 2 options. The free download is on the right side of the page and you have to wait about 45 seconds but you will see it count down. Then after the wait time it changes to read " free download" so click on that. Then you have to choose media player or whatever program you use to play this so click OK to the default and it will start to download. Once complete your computer will usually send a message that download is complete. Click on that and make sure you save it with a right click and direction where to save it to. Does this make sense? I hope this helps!!

I second the VLC player; it's much easier to use. This particular download was slow because no one was seeding. It'll speed up if more people seed. I do love this collection but wish it had all the befores and afters of the performances. I love those bio pieces .... coz I'm hardcore like that!

I too wish it had the judges opinions at the end. I can't remember what they said...it would be great to see. But I am just glad I have these because now I can re-live any time I want and in HD no less. A standing ovation to Travis.

Oh this is so cool for my DC video collection (which is gonna make my computer go poof)!! I want to play them in Windows Media Player (I have no idea why). I downloaded The World I Know and only get audio with no video of David. Where do i get this codec that was mentioned in previous posts? Any help is much appreciated.

u can transfer it to etube catcher and convert to AVI..im done with my 6 dvd..all my cookified friends want to hv one too...we are all happy now...lol.at least i already know now how..

I NEED HELP! PLEASE! I've downloaded all of them and all of them work perfect on my Windows Media Player except ONE and that's the "Hollywood" - "Everything I do" - the audio and video don't stream together. I see Ryan talking while David's singing, etc. I went back and downloaded all of the ones on the list, except Megaupload, or whatever it's called - didn't work for me, hoping that it was just the specific one that I used. I don't understand why all the others work perfectly and this one doesn't.

i just love the audition video!!!!

Travis is awesome - so much work!!!! And not to take ANYTHING away from Travis as some of the videos on my site are from him anyway - but you can find a lot of what you may need on my site - David Cook's Fan. I have a video player on there where you watch (full screen too) all of the videos and listen to / download all the mp3's i could find!

Hope that helps I know before i started the site i was dying for a place to watch and store all the videos
