i honestly can't go through the top 12.. that's way too hard to do.. but I will say that I think Carly will win. I think she has pretty much everything Idol is looking for.

Not that i don't love David! I just don't think he'll win.

Maybe I'll do a list later... but honestly I think little David Archuleta will win. He has soooooooo many fans! I love him, too. haha.

the only reason i don't think David A will win is because 1) they had a teen win last year and 2) i don't think he'd make a top 40 record and that's always what Idol is going after.

I think Idol has ALOT of control over who actually WINS their show... aka Sanjaya NEVER would have won last season even if he had legions of loyal fans who voted for him. Idol wants a money maker, and they want something different than they've had in the past, because they don't want their past winners to compete with each other. my other pick for possibly winner is Michael Johns, but he'll have to step it up majorly. he's good but he hasn't been amazing yet. Carly I think has proven herself more. The only thing about Carly is that they could say she's too similar to Kelly Clarkson. I don't think she is, but if you look at it just as "white girl who sings pop-rock" then yes. They've never had someone like Michael win or come close to winning, and I think he could be Top 40 for them, so.. it's between him and Carly I think, provided he steps up his game.

I completely agree. I'm a Taylor fan, but I do think, based on what this show is about, Daughtry should've won. (I can admit that, LOL.) It's entirely too weird that Daughtry didn't win...either that, or people voted for Taylor based on Idol alone and didn't think about whether or not they'd buy his record and make him an Idol.

I think Ramiele will be the first to go. David H. and Kristy Lee to round out the bottom 3. And our David for the overall win, of course!

i think in taylor's case a lot of people were amused by him and his stage antics and that's why they voted for him.. but you can't really waylay stage antics onto an album, so i wasn't really surprised when he didn't do that well. I'm not sure why Idol picked him and not Chris, but there's the conspiracy theory that they dumped Chris on purpose so that his fans would be more vociferous about making him a success.

I don't know, I don't think anyone could imagine Daughtry blowing up so fast. But I think they made have kicked him off early (and kept Sanjaya around as long as they did) for shock value, to keep people talking. I think, especially this year, the contestants are talented enough to get people talking without a Sanjaya or Daughtry incident. I hope they play by the rules, and if they have been all along, then people need to vote for who they truly want to be a Kelly/Carrie, not a Reuben/Taylor.

Honestly...I think David A. probably has this competition in his back pocket, but I would love to see our Word Nerd win it!

Maybe Idol is confused about who they want this year's winner to be since there are a handful of strong contestants

Carly has been way too inconsistent, so unless she pulls something out... I don't think she's popular enough to win or even get through to the top 3. In spite of the shoddy performance, to me the odds are still in David A's favour, even if Simon's comment about David C gave me hope. It would be amazing to see what he (our David ) can do in the finals.

Everyone is mixed on this haha.

I agree with what Simon said last night. If this was a TALENT competition, David C. has it. But it is a popularity competition to some extent (case in point: Sanjaya). David A messed up last night, David H did the same type of thing he always does and the judges did not like him and yet my friend still have him a 10 because he's attractive.

I do think the American Idol people have some control over the voting...but then again, I was not a fan of Taylor Hicks and he won.

As long as David C. doesn't mess things up (which he's pretty much 3-0 at the moment, which is a good sign) he's going all the way. I would be happy with top 4, but I want him to win.

This top 12 is really good! There's only a few people I don't like which is rare for me. I know that David A. has the crazy teens (I mean that in the best possible way since I do like him too...I just like David C. a tiny bit better) voting for him but he could screw up really bad at some point. Also, like I said this top 12 is really talented, I really think anyone could win it if they want it bad enough and give some really good performances. So, it's hard to tell at this point who I think will win.

Having that put down there, the only reason I placed David C. in third was that no winners other Kelly and Carrie have done particularly well. I mean, who is Fantasia person you speak of? And Taylor? Who's he?

I know what you mean about Carly. Great voice, great stage presence, etc. I in fact really like her, but I'm worried. She might have a chance to win if at least one of the Davids gets the boot before her, but we'll see.

I don't think David A. comes off as immature... I just think he's trying too hard to be mature. If he actually acted his age, rather like Jordin did last year, I might show an inkling of interest in him.
