This might be the dumbest question in re to this forum. BUT how the heck do i get my personal picture to show under my name when I post on the forum??? AND when I attach pictures, how come they are always reduced? I know they need to be a certain size, but even the normal sizes that I do see posted on here get reduced when I post them. Why????
ok its late, I hope I made sense! To whoever understands me and is able to help....THANK YOU in advance.

Alright, let's explain!

The avatar thing is pretty simple, and LoveStoned pretty much was right. Go up to the top of the screen and select "My Controls", then it'll take you to your control panel. Look to the left, and then pick "Edit Avatar Settings" under the Personal Profile section. Then it'll take you to the avatar page. It'll tell you specifics about the biggest the avatar can get, but don't worry tooooo much. It should resize it if the dimensions are too big. If the file itself is too big, then it may not work. Now, you can either choose an avatar from the Base Gallery (Which no one does, so...), enter a URL from a site like Photobucket or whatnot, OR uploading it from your computer. LoveStoned said she wasn't sure about this, but I am, because I use this method. Basically all it is is uploading a picture from your computer, so if you have an avatar you wanna use that you already have saved, you don't have to go through the trouble of uploading up to photobucket first and then getting its URL. It even says underneath it "Image Scale On" and then in quotes or something "The image will be scaled down if it's too big in pixel size.". Just upload the icon or enter the URL, and then click "Update Avatar" at the bottom, and you're alllll set!
Now, as for the scaling of the pictures when you post, I think it may be a system thing with this forum. Like the normal ones you see are probably scaled down when you see them, so when you save them onto your computer, you get the full picture size, which may be huge compared to what you actually are seeing. The forum scales down pictures if it's too big and may effect the forum's design in some way. Some sites don't do that, and it looks cheesy, in my opinion, so this is a good idea. Otherwise the picture cuts off at the end, you'd need to scroll sideways to see it all, and well.....that's just bleh in my opinion...
