Topic: David Cook, I have some Advice for you

I hope David drops by and reads this thread, I think the advice would serve him a lot of justice if he applies it to this upcoming week’s performance. I also wanted the members of the board to contribute their thoughts on the subject, so it will be addressed to Community and David. (confusing, I know)
Okay Ladies and Sirs, with the competition down to only 4 contestants, the show has become the battle of the fanbases. One factor many have yet to mention, is that many of the viewers actually don’t vote. We NEED to make them vote. Now this is where my advice begins:
Lets take a trip back in time, say…. 8 weeks? Top 12 week to be exact. The idols chose songs from the Lennon and McCartney song book. I’m sure you all remember Eleanor Rigby, but how well do you actually remember the performance? Watch it again on the toob: watch?v=dlsE97oPJYc (HQ available)
I was looking through a thread in which people rated their favourite DC performances, I didn’t see Eleanor Rigby on any list. This was depressing for me, Eleanor Rigby is my favourite performance of all. Though ER was not his best VOCAL performance, it had an immense amount of energy about it, I was moved. Oh, and the lighting! David must use that lighting trick again! The light attached so well, and it was so powerful. It was the first time I’ve ever been blown away by a live performance.
My advice is beyond just a lighting tip, anyone remember the leg slap, the woohoo jumping up and down after he performed? He looks so happy and energized. Dave, pick a song you can have fun with! When you have fun with a song you connect with it! Last week, I actually liked Brooke’s I’m a believer. I want to see you move again! I want to see you having fun!
Move America, make the non voters pick up their phones for once!
UPDATE: Watching the prevideo for Day Tripper, this a direct quote from David: (Speaking on behalf of the previous tuesday)
-"It was like the epitome of what I wanted to do when I started playing music is to have that rock concert feel, you know with the lights and the smoke and the audiance. It was intense, I remember it was this very euphoric feeling, nothing could hurt me."
David, disregard Simon's comments about being Smug, or being Pompous. That right, he has not. We want to see you having the time of your life when your on stage performing!
