I was just going back and watching the old Idolatry's because I didn't get to see the early ones, and I find them pretty interesting now, and I'm bored, so yeah.

So anyway, I'm watching, and I'm up to the video of them talking about the Top 12 and not ONCE has DC been mentioned since they talked about his audition, not even his amazing "Hello" performance!

David really WAS the dark horse, wasn't he? Well look at him NOW, he's in the TOP 4!

Well I think he had this "Rock Stigma" on him from the very beginning and they had no idea that he could conquer anything they gave him to sing. He could honestly sing, "Somebody farted.. hooooooo." and I'd probably find it sexy.

They missed the boat. Many of us tuned into DC after Hello, and then Eleanor Rigby sealed the deal.

I've said this before but he had me at "Tommy use to work on the dock.." after that, I was hooked and knew that I wanted him to win..

I'm with you on this one. I have loved David since the auditions and he sang a Bon Jovi song.

He is definitely the stallion that can go all the way for us.

honestly nobody can fight DC ... he is the best .. he rocks!

He had me at the argyle sweater... before he even opened his mouth. Once he did open his mouth, I was done for. He just had that "star quality" even as far back as the audition. He just carries himself like, "yeah, I belong here - begin to worship me".

And we do.

Yep, I've said it before... anyone who DARES to take on Bon Jovi instantly gets my attention... sing it badly and I hate you forever, sing it well and I love you until the end of time... (Chris Daughtry and "Wanted Dead Or Alive," anyone...?)
So, yeah... amid all the lousy, crap auditions, DC was a standout for me, and one that I wanted to see go as far as possible. I REMEMBERED him throughout, a rarity for me. The only thing that didn't grab me instantly was the look. (Prepares to have things thrown at me.)
He was still an immediate pick for Top 12 though. (I stated that on another board somewhere, lol.) All Right Now got me to take that second look for the first time... and then of course, Hello. I remember that so well. The first line or two, I said, Holy S*&@, THIS IS AMAZING. I thought the judges would hate it but I didn't care. I knew he was a rock star right then and there.
Eleanor Rigby convinced me he was a superstar in the making... (was it there that the "dark horse" comment was first made...?)
And Day Tripper... well... I was a goner.
And its only gotten worse since.
I thought I wanted OTHER contestants to win AI in seasons past...
I don't think it's ever been like this.

As soon as David walked into the room with the judges, I found him intensely hot and when he sang that first note, "Tommy." I was a goner... and then throughout the rest of that audition, I couldn't breathe. I was so entranced by his voice that I literally held my breath and had cold chills. After that, it was all about DC for me.

Yes, he was a standout from the beginning...as were Carly and Michael. It really bothered me when Michael was voted off, but I had already become Hooked On Cook long before that so it was just a case of, whew, I won't have to decide between my two favourites at the end.

Those ratings that show DCook way, way ahead...don't get complacent, fellow travellers. I watched while some people at another website voting for the tellytubby (sorry, just not a fan of DA) went postal because DCook's iTunes were way outselling DA's, so they went hysterically buying and 'gifting' copies of the song to boost his ratings. They'll do the same thing tomorrow night so vote vote vote for David Cook!

Even I, a Canadian who would never watch Canadian Idol, will be voting, thanks to Gizmo! For the Cookie monster, of course.

Yeah..i remembered paula said that he's the DARK HORSE of the show..and she also siad that if ur the front man in your band.. and U R THE FRONT MAN HERE IN AI...hmmmmnnn hv u noticed guys paulas eyes everytime she comment about DC..theres something right???lol...
