Okay. I'll meet you ladies at IHop at 10am! I've been to IHop many times because I used to live across the street from the one in Wrigleyville. I find most items on their menu to be absolutely revolting, but if you get pancakes you're relatively safe.

Oh, and you know what's so fun?! I got my David Cook Word Nerd guitar pin in the mail today! It's hysterical. I love it. So wearing it.

Sometimes they have this stuffed french toast that's pretty decent. I also like the Cinnamon Roll french toast, but they only have that when they're doing the french toast specials. I guess it's fruity pancake month. lol We'll have to get fruity pancakes!

Ooh that sounds good, and I usually don't get french toast. My only thing with IHOP is that they give you SO much..like if I want scrambled eggs, I'll prob have to get the meal that's like..eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, ham, toast. Basically one of everything on the menu.

I need a new camera also...I dropped my digital one and broke it....so I'm debating if I want to just buy a camera like i had before, or if I want to spend the big bucks and buy a digital SLR... (i already have a regular SLR that I am debating about bringing while we're hanging out waiting for the buses, it takes awesome pics and has a telephoto lens )

Joy, since you are TECHNICALLY in Indiana..are you going to the Indy show too?

I have a digital SLR (Canon Digital Rebel XT). It's pretty awesome and you can get them pretty cheap now because there's a newer one out. I have the stock lens, but I'm looking into getting at least one lens that's a bit better. Any ideas? I'm not much of a photographer. At any rate, I'm going to bring it with me for the pre-show stuff. I'll also be getting a smaller digital that will take videos.

No I'm not going to the Indy show . Wish I was, I actually live right outside of chicago, so that's the closest show. If i had some more vacation time, i would consider it.

I'm in Section 3 Row 25 and I got my tickets the very first five minutes of the preorder. Makes me a little annoyed. I'm short so don't know if I'm going to be able to see anything. Hopefully it will be enough to hear and know I am breathing the same air as David.

I hear you. I teach so have the time, but am short on money. Doesn't matter though. I really want to go to any concernt within driving distance of Chicago. I'm also flying to Kansas City on the 29th. I just wanted to see him get to play the Sprint Center. I actually have my best ticket there. Row 2. I thought it would be the hardest to come by since it is his hometown. That was before they scheduled the second day, though, so I think the first day must have sold out pretty quickly. I would love to find a way to see him in Tulsa on the last night of the tour, but it is just too expensive and there are no good seats without spending more than the cost of airfare for the ticket alone.



Yes, I think he talked about staying with cousins in Kokomo on summer vacation when he first got into rock music. It may be that his brother is in Terra Haute and his dad Kokomo. I don't really know.

My husband and are are going to the Rosemont show on the 19th as well. We are in Section 204 also in the middle of row O and P. We could not get side by side but oh well. I noticed you said Section 204 were terrible seats. ARE THEY REALLY THAT BAD? I figured it would be better being as close to the stage as possible even if it is near the side of the stage rather than being all the way in the back in the last few rows which I have grown sick of over the years. Those were the only ticket choices we had.

I can't believe they will have no meet and greets or backstage passes for this venue. What is up with that?
What about 101.9 the mix or any other radio stations or places giving them away or with contests? There has to be a way for people to get them without having to mortgage your home or sell your children....Just Kidding...LOL!

Jul and I are working on a project too! Well, actually 2! I hope we get it done in time. I'm starting to get nervous. I really hope they switch up the set list. I think the Idols will get sick of doing the same songs every night. They've switched it up every year. Hopefully by our show there'll be something different.

I'm going to Rosemont too, with my two teenagers. We can't get there early so I'm not expecting to actually see them anyway. I saw a video of the AZ concert and there were lots of flashbulbs going off, but I heard they're not letting cameras into Rosemont! Do you know anything about that?

My 15 year old daughter is coming with, and she wants to go early, but i keep going back and forth. Honestly, i feel ridiculous going early and standing waiting for buses. I am a huge fan of Rocco DeLuca and go every time he is in Chicago and do the whole "groupie" thing, but i KNOW those guys and don't feel ridiculous. She wants to go early to get pics with the Idols, but figures we wont get anywhere near them and why waste our time. Hi all!
I have a quick question for all you girls, you seem to know the venue pretty well, like knowing there's an IHOP right across the street, so I was wondering if anybody would know if there really are taxi cabs outside the Allstate after a show?
I've never been to the Allstate before, (well OK, once when I was 3! And my parents took me to see Sesame Street, but I think it's a little too much to ask of my memory to remember back that far! Especially considering that was 18 years ago!) and I'm going with my mom, but we're not driving, we're going to take a cab there, but have no clue right now how we'll get home. We were thinking of hiring a car service to pick us up, but that's a little pricey, so I called Rosemont cabs to ask if they'd pick us up, and they said there will already be taxis outside after the show, that there always are after a big event. And I'm wondering if that's really true? Please respond to this or send me a PM if you know, it would really help me out, especially since my mom is pretty much always terrified we'll be stranded with no ride home after every concert we go too, and this could put both of our minds at ease. Thanks so much!

Let me see if I can answer everyone's questions..

Even if you feel silly going early, it'll be SO worth it once you've met them. Plus..there'll be a great group of people, so you wouldn't be bored. If you feel like you aren't going to get anywhere near them..you're probably wrong. I mean..there aren't ALOT of people who go early, so I think you'll have a good chance. Plus, they make sure to get to everyone that's out there. I don't know the name of the hotel (kind of wondering that myself) but you can also park at Target during the day and then move your car once the Allstate lot opens up at 5. Both the hotel and Allstate's lot are $15..Allstate security is kinda bitchy once the show is over. As far as cameras go..I put mine in a pocket where nobody looked. They didn't even look in my bag that thoroughly anyway..and I had it out periodically through the show and nobody said anything. I don't think they're really hard core about it..so don't leave it behind just bc you think they'll take it. I don't know about the cabs, though..

Hey guys..if you could, can you respond and tell me if you are a yes, no or maybe for IHOP on Saturday? It's getting a little confusing and I am just going to make some kind of organized list so I know who to bug ask when the time gets closer for a more definite answer. Probably the Wednesday before the show, I'll call and see if they do a reservation, call-ahead, whatever. I hope there'd be some way they could be accomidating to a large group like ours.
