That IS one hell of a lead.
If that were any indication of actual Idol voting, we would have absolutely nothing to worry about.
I read this story this morning, and I also read the reader comments.
There was only one that bugged me...
"I feel that David Archuleta has the best voice, can sing most any style, and remains unflustered on the stage. However, like Clay Aiken, it will be fine with me if he comes in 2nd, as he can than go on and sign a contract with whatever producer/recording company he cares to and I will be buying his music.
David Cook IS good, but hasn't shown quite as much flexibility in style of music."
My take...
Archie remains UNFLUSTERED on stage? I better check on the definition of "unflustered" because last time I checked, he has forgotten the lyrics twice...
I do agree with the part about coming in 2nd and having a bit more artistic freedom in recording, but that doesn't apply to Archie... I think we know what kind of music he'll put out, winner or runner-up. But I bet most, if not all, of these finalists will be under the 19 umbrella for a while, since they do have first dibs on signing them.
As for that last line... EXACTLY WHAT SHOW HAS THIS PERSON BEEN WATCHING???
It seems as though this person has their Davids mixed up. DA is the one that's always so flustered on stage I wouldn't be surprised to see him pass out, and DC is the one that can sing any style. What a crazy article. I totally agree with you, what show HAS this person been watching??
