That's showing good judgment, Piperlily. I don't like some of those personal pics especially at all. I don't think they represent David as the man and the musician he has worked so hard the past months to be as the potential American Idol. He really "got" the concept pretty much from the get go, and I feel like all this harking back to his youthful high jinx and all before he gained his present focus kind of does him a disservice. Maybe I am just an old stick, but I think he has represented himself really universally while on Idol and the party frat boy stuff while adorable in its own way, time and place is just not who he is anymore.
Very well put, I agree with you. I think that if I were in his shoes, I wouldn't like the idea of someone posting pictures of me from private moments, where although just behaving like anyone my age, I may skew the opinions of those around me. It's not fair to the reputation he's created for himself on Idol to be put through criticism based on old pictures, because you know that's what happens once the rabid media industry grabs a hold of someone. He's already being paparazzied, which is bad enough but expected, and a HUGE sign of popularity. Photogs don't bother with you unless you have some sort of market value, and obviously DC is quite popular, so he's giving the photographers work.
As for past pictures, I have to agree with davidisdevine, and as much as I like to see how he was, it's unfair to have that part of his past shared and ultimately, judged.
