CookiesBR are the David Cook passionate fans in Brazil, we have an Orkut Community (a site just like Myspace) with more than 1000 members and counting. There we have all the news involving David Cook, a photo album with more than 2000 pictures (from childhood to the latest week of American Idol), all the lyrics from his songs and much more. Everyone connects to listen live to the American Idol show on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to cheer for DC.

We created a blog and there we update the main news and also have features about his: Biography, Discography, Curiosities, etc. It was made to the Brazilian fans that don’t have access to Orkut, so that they can have all the information about David Cook.

We also have a website under construction, so that David Cook’s music can be found e spread here in Brazil. We’re already doing this to have a good divulgation with the release of his CD after American Idol.

We are starting a campaign, self titled CookiesBR, because we really wanted him to know the size of his loyal fan base in Brazil. We follow him since day #1 of American Idol and know the affection he has for the fans. We are also about to print a huge poster and create a video with pictures of every member of our Community. Hopefully, one day, David Cook could see the face of every fan that follow, listen, cheer and cry for him every week!

Since the show started in mid January we made real and maybe eternal friendships. We witnessed a lot of things that happened to the fans, we got to know their stories and realized that Cook’s music is really a breath of fresh air or even a light at the end of the tunnel for many of them. People are dedicating a good share of their time to this, without anything in return, just for pleasure and happiness.

Along with all those virtual pictures we said before, we’ll be sending a box with messages from the Brazilian fans before the end of the show. This box will contain a personalized blue rubberband that we really wanted him to wear to show that he knows about us, Brazilian fans. But unfortunately, American Idol is coming to a end in May and because of the distance between Brazil and the US, we fear that he won’t receive it in time. So we really wanted him to wear any blue rubberband for now just to symbolize the one we’ll be sending. That would be a sincere and unforgettable moment to all his dedicated fans here.

I´m so happy that Cook is in the Top 3!
I´m pretty sure he will be in the Finale but I was really nervous yesterday.
His homecoming next week will be awesome! It´ll probably be a big party!
