is there usually a studio recording for every song a contestant sings?

Last year there was not... once they get into top 5 and 4 and they start singing two or three songs, they only have the studio recordings for one of them... but the do the recordings all in one day. It would be hectic to try to record more songs than that! They usually pick the fan favorite/best vocal to record the studio.

Just from the Top 12 and up....the other songs are just enhanced AI performances....they're still good, but just not 'studio'...

The Billie Jean Studio recording is amazing. And I thought his performance was good.

Yeah the studio recording is about 100 times better... I don't even really know why...

The studio recording is greatness on a plain not yet discovered by mankind. I only wish the last note was more like how it was on the show live. But still, a powerful recording.

I agree. I was waiting for the glory note, but you know, I like that the live version and the studio version sound different. It's like he pulls out the stops for his performances.

It's a great track.
