My family will be in the heart of LA next week during the taping of American Idol. I know there is no way for them to get into the show but does anyone know how they might be able to meet the contestants beforehand? I've seen pictures of the contestants signing stuff before the show but didn't know if anyone had any tips on how to go about doing that.

I'm really not sure, because I've never successfully done it. I've heard of people meeting contestants around the grove after the results show. But honestly, I couldn't tell you.
Also, if they have the time, they should try waiting as stand by for the show (or the dress rehearsal). They may get in.

Oh really? I just assumed there was no way for them to be able to this late in the game. I'm bummed I can not go myself but I have been really sick and am unable to handle the plane ride.
