He wasn't.
In my opinion.
I thought he was really good
and the judges were really hard on him
but he didn't take it that bad it seemed.
I thought the second song was really good.
But I think it's his time to go.
It's just...
he wasn't that bad.

Oh I really liked him last night.
I downloaded both of his songs. I especially loved "Mr. Tambourine Man" even though he forgot the words, and it's funny because the way he filled it was exactly like I fill when I forget lyrics. Haha.
But I mean he's said he wants to go home, so I feel like they should just let him go home you know.

I agree with you. I know it is his time to go, but I'll still be a little bit sad if he goes, because I REALLY like his voice, it's beautiful. And I also like him as a person.
But I guess he goes home..
Until it's not Cook I'm happy.

i agree. jason was not that bad. i love his if dont care attitude and how it pisses off the judges. its great. but yeah last night they made it sound like jason was horrid and he wasnt he was ok.

I didn't think I Shot The Sheriff was bad at first, but after the first verse or so it started falling apart and turned into one of the worst AI performances, like, ever. Sorry Jason, I love you bro, but... sheeeesh.
And, I liked Mr. Tambourine Man a lot. Yeah, he forgot the lyrics, but how can we rat on him for that when Brooke, Archie, Carly, and other contestants have done the same thing. That's pretty lame. And at least he kept his cool after that happened, he went through the rest of the song and did well with it.
I thought the judges were unnecessarily harsh, but that's Idol for you. It couldn't be any more clear by now that the producers want him out of there, and the judges' comments reflect that. I did thing it was pretty shitty of Simon to mention Jason's song during Archie's critique, though. That was just a low blow, and really uncalled for. Grr.

I'm racking my brain. what week was it that Carly forgot the lyrics?
and I agree, that was way shady of him. It was cute that Archie said "I liked Jason" though.

Well, I guess my saying she "forgot" the lyrics was a little misleading, but she flubbed a couple of lines during Jesus Christ Superstar. It wasn't as blatant or terrible as Archie, Brooke, and Jason's mistakes were, but it was there.

Jason kinda grew on me as the weeks went by. I actually liked his take on I Don't Want to Cry and Forever in Blue Jeans. I didn't mind Mr. Tamborine Man either. I'd like to hear it when he didn't mess up the lyrics. I'm hoping that's the one he does the studio version of.
I would never, under any circumstance, split my vote though. It was Cook all the way last night. I discovered that I can actually text more votes in 2 hours than I can dial.

Or quite possibly both. Haha.
All I know is "I was thinkin' BOB MARLEY! YEAH!" was the most stoneriffic thing I've ever heard. Loved it.
I think I just have this tremendous affection for Jason because he actually seems like someone I would hang out with in real life.
Then again, a lot of my friends are mediocre, pot-smoking musicians, so go figure.

I went back and rewatched it and I still don't notice. I think that song just excites me too much and I start singing super loud, it's one of my favorites.

Ok, I will say one thing. I have liked Jason all season, just because he sings one of my favorite styles of music: acoustic. I think he has a nice voice, and he's not bad on the eyes. But last night he really got on my nerves. It just seemed like he wasn't into it. And in my opinion, I think I would have really liked "Mr. Tambourine Man" if he hadn't flubbed those lyrics. I thought the rest of the vocals for the rest of the song were spot-on. But yeah...I think it's his time to go.
And yeah, during his videos he did make me laugh

Along with the Bob Marley quote, I liked the one in the second video where he said something like "I'm just going to get out there and sing a good folk song" or something and he did that arm movement with it

I thought Jason was entertaining, just not "American Idol" material. I still think Hallelujah was one of the most heart-felt performances EVER on Idol, whether he meant to perform it that way or not...

I just don't think he really wanted it and I honestly believe he is surprised he got that far.
But, yes, he was entertaining, and I would probably check out his album should he put one out in the future.

I cried when he sang Hallelujah.
I should also say, I'm really overemotional. Haha.
I think that he was just overwhelmed because really, I would LOVE the fame and I'd love to be famous but a lot of people were just acting so crazy toward him, especially the whole Vegas thing.

I thought the 2nd song was better than the first, and I thought he screwed it up on purpose. I'm kinda going to miss him, he was so funny and nonchalant. "I was thinking Bob Marley!" That was just great! Basically he was saying "F U, Simon". He mocked Ryan, he was just an all around funny guy.

They are all human. Don't forget...
Cookie flubbed the last line of HLTW. Jason's was by far the most hilarious to watch though.
I really did give him a hard time all season 'cause I just didn't think he was trying hard enough. But watching his idol extra interview, i've garnered a new appreciation for jason. add him to the list of idols i'm excited to see on tour.

His I Shot the Sheriff was actually the first performance of his that I had enjoyed for several weeks, and would probably be my third favorite Jason song of the whole season. I liked that he "spun" it a little and seemed, to me, to really enjoy performing the song. I am much more interested in an interesting arrangement and an energetic performance than I am in en-pointe vocals (many of my favorite artists have really, truly awful vocal quality).

I really love Jason so much. Not only do I think he has a great voice but I really love his personality and I def. think he's pretty good on the eyes too...but of course I love David more. Jason was definitely my second fav. though. I was so sad to see him go.

"Someone said I shot the Tambourine Man"
"I didn't know a cat was singin' it"

no offence intended
but i think he was awful
*apologises profusely*
he was funny because he so obviously couldnt be arsed
it was like he was constantly laughing
which is good
but all the people who paid to vote for him when hes not bothered?
i dont know.
he was entertaining anyway, thats the word for it.

I never thought any of Jason's performances were bad to be honest. He has a nice, relaxing voice to listen to, & despite the 'forgetting the lyrics', I thought he did really well.
He just likes to have fun with his performances, & that's what I look for in an artist. Someone that enjoys doing this, & has fun. I don't like uptight people, even if this is a competition, & all.
Jason's awesome, & I'm bummed he's gone, honestly.

I liked Jason at the beginning of the competition, but then started to stray away from him toward Cookie. Each week I voted for David Cook, David Archuleta, Carly, and Jason. Eventually, the more I heard from each, the less people I voted for until it ended up just for Cookie. Jason was the first one I stopped voting for out of the group.
