Holly
haha So who are you? I figure since we're all going to be forum family, we should get to know one another. I'll start off...

Well, obviously my name is Holly. lol I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 2, 1984. In 1988, my dad got transferred so which is where I live today in St. Louis, Missouri (which isn't too terribly far from where David is from). I love the beach, I go every summer back home in Texas and go to the beach, I love it. I have 3 years of college under my belt, although I did decide to take a break in 2006 to work and make some money. I have a small babysitting job in the mornings and then my other job is I work at Target. I've been there since last July and I love it there. It means that we have interesting things that go on there. I eventually want to go back and finish college and become an ETL (Executive Team Lead) at Target, which in other words is an LOD (store manager).

I love animals, I have 2 cats and 1 dog. Recently lost my little yorkie to lung cancer in November, it was really sad because we had her since she was a baby puppy. I love things like watchings sports, going shopping, traveling, country music, hanging with friends, watching movies, driving golf carts, etc. Then there's times where I love simple days like swimming in my pool, sitting on my back porch napping during the day and getting sun, etc. I also live the simple sounds of birds chirping on a summer day, laying down and relaxing and just hearing the air click on and off is relaxing to me. I'm pretty easy going and laid back, I'm up for whatever. As y'all can see I'm your ordinary girl, I love the simple things in life. If you care to know more, don't hesitate to ask me.

Your turn. smile.gif

I'm 30 yr old Stephanie. I live south of Houston in League City Texas. I was born in GA, moved to FL, then NC, and then here in Texas with my folks after my teaching career plunked out. I finally got out of teaching after this past year. I work at DISH Network as a Tech Support Rep. Love the computer, Harry Potter, 24, cross stitching, and of course, our Mr. Cook. Used to be a Constantine fan and that's how my groupie career started. I was out of it for a while until I discovered Mr. Cook this year! So I shall most definitely be stalking some buses at Idol Tour this year. I have a 3 yr old Chihuahua named Taco.

Anyway, here's more about me. I'm 21 years old, I'm a senior in college. But I'm going to have to go an extra year because I've had a rough time and I've changed my major so much. Right now my major is English Literature. Before you even ask...NO I don't want to teach when I'm done with my degree! You couldn't pay me enough to teach...I've had bad experiences when I was an Education major that I don't like to talk about. Anyway, moving on, here's what I DO want to do after college: Right now I work at my college's library. I absolutely love it and hope to get a job in a library after I graduate. I'm in a sorority called The Euglossian Society (our letters are Epsilon Upsilon Gamma, colors are purple and white) and I think joining that group is the best decision I've ever made. I have the most wonderful sisters I could have ever asked for. I'm also affiliated with a fraternity, Alpha Phi Tau, and I think those men are amazing. What's kinda cool about them is that there colors are maroon and gold, same colors as Gryffindor in Harry Potter! I love it, I wear our colors all the time! laugh.gif
I love animals, I have 2 miniature schnauzers, a white one named Sophie and a black one named Sadie. I love music: I really like Lifehouse, Daughtry, Justin Timberlake, Blake Lewis, Clay Aiken, Elliott Yamin, Evanescence, and one of my guilty pleasures is that I love boybands like 'Nsync, The Backstreet Boys, LFO, and 98 Degrees. Oh I like Nick Lachey and Ryan Cabrera too. I like a lot of other music too, but it would take all day to tell you what else I like! The only kind of music I don't really like is rap and I hate country. I enjoy playing in our symphonic band in college. In band I play clarinet but I also know how to play piano, flute, and alto saxophone. I can sing but I wish I could!
I also like to read (I kinda have to in order to be an English Lit. major!) my favorite books ever are the Harry Potter series...seriously, they're like the greatest thing ever written, that's how much I love Harry Potter! I also really like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series...the second book is being made into a movie and it comes out this summer!!! I'm so excited! I also like anything by Nicholas Sparks. Currently I'm supposed to be reading to books over spring break...I've only got one done though because I'm here so much! I also love movies a few of my favorites include (but are not limited to laugh.gif ): Pirates of the Caribbean (all of them), Harry Potter, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, P.S. I Love You, and many others.
I love to make things! I'm really crafty, I make stuff for my friends all the time. I really like to crochet as well, I've made like a billion scarfs! It's so fun! I actually just finished making a scarf like the one we see David wear!
Lets see...what else is there about me. My hobbies are anything that doesn't involve exercise or any strenuous physical activity...I'm a fat kid so me and exercise are like a peanut butter and glue sandwich...we don't mix! I do like to swim a lot though. In the summer I like to have strawberry daiquries(I love rum and anything that you have to put rum in) and sit lay in my pool. My 2 favorite things to do though during the summer are 1) I love to go to Cedar Point with my friends, we always have a blast and it is like the highlight of my summer! 2) I also love to go to this little community by Lake Erie conveniently named Lakeside, Oh. One of my best friends owns 2 cottages there and occasionally me and a couple friends will just pack up our stuff and drive up there and hang out for a few days. It's really amazing to just hang out with my friends because we don't get to do stuff together much. Oh and BTW my best friends I'm talking about are my high school friends so that's why we don't get to see each other much since we go to different colleges.
Ok, I swear I'm gonna wrap this up since I've been talking forever! Here are a few more random facts about me: my fav. color is blue but purple is a close second, it holds a very special place in my heart. I absolutely hate the colors pink and green. My screen name is actually my pledge name for the fraternity I'm affiliated with. My pledge name for my sorority is Koala. I love being called by these nicknames rather than my real name (which I just realized I never mentioned once in this post). I love being silly, random, and happy, I love laughing, having fun, and hanging out with my sorority sisters and my best friends and as you can see by this autobiography I have written on myself I love to talk. So since I wrote so much I promise to read everyone else's in here...as long as you have read all of mine! J/K on that last part! lol But I really will read everyone else's since I practically wrote a book here!

Holly, sorry to hear about your dog sad.gif Good idea starting this thread, helps me get to know fellow David fans better.

I was born in '82 (like David) on Valentine's Day. Boy, was I a hyperactive, overimaginative kid - I thought I was Cupid at one point, but I never had imaginary friends because I quickly grew tired of conversing with thin air. Growing up, I wrote heaps and heaps of stories, most of which I didn't finish. Everyone expected me to be a writer, so it wasn't surprising when I graduated with a BA in Communication and became a copywriter. I love words - crafting copy is very much like designing a graphic system, even the smallest punctuation counts.

The advertising industry sucked for me... the long hours, petty clients, vicious politics were TMTH laugh.gif After a few years, I joined a brand consultancy and went over to the dark side... from the creative department to account management. So now, I'm basically a monkey in a suit. Except I don't actually wear suits.

Other than writing, I love, love, LOVE music. Seriously, I cannot imagine life without it. I listen to all kinds, although I'm partial to rock and metal, which surprises people because I look like a Britney fan, apparently (I despise her music) huh.gif I quit the piano just before getting my Diploma (wtf, I know) and know some basic guitar. I wish I was blessed with a fantastic singing voice, but I hope it's decent enough to try some voice-acting.

I also enjoy reading (fantasy, general fiction, astrology, etc), sketching portraits and learning new languages. Like David, I excel at TV and movie-viewing. My favourite film is Amelie, it fits my personality to a T. From this post, you can tell that I also like to ramble, so I'll stop now unsure.gif

Hey ya'll, my name is Kirsten. I'm 25-years-old, however I am told that I look a lot younger...like 21. I live in a small townish city in the Bay Area. I grew up in the Bay Area all my life, until I was 20 and took off to go to college in Fresno State. I received by B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism.

I love to write. I blog on my myspace and at my pop culture blog pretty much almost everyday. I love to read, but most of all I love music. I love going to concerts. That is probably the one thing I am willing to spend a lot of money on. I've gone to over 50 concerts. My favorite bands are Huey Lewis and the News, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5 and Lifehouse.

I currently am working at a clothing store out here, while applying for jobs in my field. A girl has to make an honest buck somehow. LOL.

Even though every year I tell myself that I will not get attached to American Idol, I pretty much fail. Other than season 5, that I barely watched. I do have some love for one Blake Lewis and DEFINITELY DAVID COOK!

I have a four-month-old puppy. She's a min pin. Her name is Priestley. Named after my favorite actor on 90210, Jason Priestley. She's an absolute doll and terror at the same time. I love her to pieces.

For the most part, I'm an open book, so if ya'll have questions, ask away!
Puce31
That is cool! So it's my turn!

Well, my name is Sarah and I'm 21 years old. I was born, raised and still living in Repentigny which is next to Montreal, Quebec in Canada. I am a single child and I'm still living with my parents. My first language is french so I'm probably making a lot of mistakes in english (sorry for that!)

In high school, I was in an art program in dance. I finished college almost 2 years ago. I studied in OST: Micropublishing and Hypermedia which allows you to work in an office as administrative assistant (which I am) or office assistant (which I used to be).

Talking about working, I've been a coach soccer, a cashier in a Wal-Mart, and an office assistant both at my College and for the government. I'm now working for an engineering company for 1 year and a half.

Random things: I have a cat and a dog. My favorite colors are black and pink. I love almost every style of music but my favorite is pop-rock. I love watching tv and movies, computer, reading, playing playstation (particularly Dance dance revolution), and I'm a HUGE shopaholic. Music and shopping are pretty much my life lolll

As for now, I don't really know what more to say... if you have questions, just ask!!

P.S. Oh I Forgot! I love David hihihi

I pretty much have every CD Bon Jovi put out and went to his concert last year. Amazing performer!

Anyway....

Hi, I'm Jess. I'm from upstate NY, all over really but mainly central to western of the state. I love New York. I am a Math Education Major. I want to teach middle school math someday...but it always seemed to me like a job for older people, so I'm not sure I'll jump right into it after graduation. I just turned 21 last month. I'm a junior in college.

My friends include those here at school and my family. I have a boyfriend (of two and a half years). He's also a Math Ed. major and from NY.

I'm a terrible speller. You may be reading this and think I haven't spelled any words wrong, but in truth, I google words I'm unsure about (like concert vs. consert). My vocabulary exceeds my spelling skills.

I'm pretty much unemployed. I have a job on campus but it's not steady (I work for shows at the art center maybe twice a month.)

Last summer I did a teaching internship in NYC for 5 weeks. That was fun, but I didn't know anybody so a little strange. But that's in the past...

Currently my hobbies include school work (I love school, homework and classes), doing random photoshop work to David Cook pictures, hanging out with my boyfriend, drawing, cross stitch, making clothes, watching movies (Johnny Depp & John Cusack), driving (my house is 4 hours from school), going to concerts (I've seen Hanson, Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi & Queen) and coming soon....working out. laugh.gif

This is the first season of American Idol I've really been obsessed with. David Cook blew me away a few weeks ago (as he probably did with everyone here) and I am his loyal fan until the end.

I also like starting discussions on here (you've probably seen my name under a lot of subject titles) because I always think about things and I love to hear what everyone has to say. The polls are the most fun for me, I love numbers!

That's all from me!
<3, Jess

Right now my major is English Literature. Before you even ask...NO I don't want to teach when I'm done with my degree!

Hahaha, I'm so glad someone can relate to me on this! I'm an English major too, and every time I tell someone that they're like, "Oh! So you want to be a teacher?" And when I say no they say something like, "Oh... so what are you going to do with a degree in English?" Very frustrating!

Anyway, a little about me... hmm. Well I'm 19, a freshman in college, and I'm from Texas. I live in a teeny tiny town I guarantee you've never heard of, but it's near Lubbock if that means anything to you. I'm living at home and going to community college right now, and after next year I'm planning movin' to the big city (haha) and going to Lubbock Christian University. I have two older brothers who are 29 and 27. I have a cat who is my baby; it's kind of ridiculous how much I spoil her, haha. But I LOVE cats, and I've had her since I was four so she's become very special to me. I love music; unfortunately, I'm the least musical member of a very musical family. My mom sings, my dad plays guitar (and builds them as well... he's really talented), my oldest brother plays guitar and bass, and my other brother is one of those people I hate who can pick up any instrument and just play the crap out of it, but his primary instrument is guitar. I play piano and sing some, and dabble in other instruments, but I just don't have the natural talent the ret of my family does. I still love music though, and I literally listen to everything. I am a complete Beatles fanatic. I have a soft spot for '80s rock. And I am absolutely the biggest (and quite possibly the only) bluegrass fan you will ever meet. I love to write, and I'm a total bookworm. In the summer when I actually have time to read something other than textbooks, I average about a book a day. I love running, swimming, and being outside as much as I possibly can. I was a theatre geek in high school, and because of that I have developed an intense love for musicals, to the point where I find it very hard to watch a movie in which people don't sing and dance. My dad owns a restaurant, and I wait tables there. I kind of really hate it, but the tips are good so it's worth it in the end. In real life I'm pretty awkward and shy, but for some reason I tend to be quite a chatterbox on forums like this (I'm sure you will notice this before too long.) I think I'm very mature for my age, although I do have my little spurts of immaturity. I grew up in a small town in Texas where there wasn't much to do, so we sort of had to make our own fun, and as a result I've got some pretty hilarious stories (most of which involve Wal-Mart.) I mostly hang out with guys; I really only have three girl friends, and other than them, girls tend to annoy me. Uhm... other than that, I don't know what else to say. I do tend to be really sarcastic, so if I ever say anything mean to you, take it with a grain of salt; I'm probably kidding. Probably. wink.gif
Pallas
^I come from a family of teachers and I used to be an ed. major myself. Long story short...that major turned out to be a disaster for me and that's all I really have to say about it.

That's cool that your dad makes guitars, I always wished I could play guitar.

And I have lots of fun wal-mart/random stories too!

Hehehehe this is so fun (reading the stuff written of course) that I couldn’t resist doing one of well, myself laugh.gif

First off my name’s Nadia, (I’m 19) and over the years I’ve had soo many nicknames but I guess it has more or less settled to Nad. So yep, that’s what I’m accustomed to being called these days that I sometimes forget it’s only a nickname LOL. You guys can deffo just call me Nad if you want to! wink.gif

I have a cat named Muffin (she’s 2), and she’s as loyal as any pet can get but just don’t ignore her cause she sometimes tends to bite when ignored. RAWR. dry.gif

I love reading, and the scent of a “freshly bought” book from a store makes me bonkers (in a good way) sometimes. Ok I know you think I’m crazy and I don’t blame you. Hah!

My idea of the perfect birthday gift for now is a tie between book/clothing store vouchers, my opinion of the best thing(s) that can be bought.

I <3 accessories. biggrin.gif

I love, love, love colour. What’s my fave? It’s a mad tousle between black, white, green, blue and brown ahahaha. Oh and sometimes maybe purple. Or orange. I don’t know man, I’m spoiled for choice. Oh and I love patterns..graphics..designs.. You name it. I just can’t seem to live on ‘plain’ alone. tongue.gif

I love music as well. Fave genre? Can’t choose, cause it’s like the same problem with the fave colour as well. So basically I listen to anything and everything. My friends tease me; they say my music folders have no “direction” and that it’s a dense shrub. Zzzzz.. sleep.gif

Oh and I just bought my first iPod today. The classic one in Black. Wheee like finally! wub.gif

....

Ehh I really can’t think of anything else to write about right now. Toodles laugh.gif happy.gif

HAHAHAHA omg! I'm sooo gonna point to the teevee screen and yell "I KNOW HER!" when I see you come on next season wink.gif

eek ok, here's my life's story.

- My name's Lauren
- I'm 22 years old
- I live in North Carolina but grew up in South Florida (I miss it so much sad.gif )
- I recently graduated from UNC Charlotte with my bachelor's in History as well as teacher licensure.. I hope to be a high school social studies teacher soon.
- I currently have two jobs: substitute teacher while I look for a full time position for next fall (kind of a boring job.. you basically sit there and make sure they don't kill each other) and associate at JC Penney (hate this place... except for the discount I get)
- I love music.. all kinds of bands and artists but lately I've been really into folk/indie type stuff.
- Other hobbies include writing, reading and making graphics in Photoshop
- Other fandoms are John Mayer (UNHEALTHY LOVE FOR THIS MAN haha), Grey's Anatomy and Harry Potter

I suppose that's it smile.gif
Anna-Molly
I love this kind of stuff. smile.gif

I'm Heather, age 30 (and not too thrilled about it, but oh well. Can't stop time!) and from Ohio. I was born in Youngstown and experienced the fun of going to Catholic school for 13 years straight. This is why I hate plaid.

After high school -- I went to my first college, Heidelberg in Tiffin, OH. Pallas -- believe it or not, you aren't the only Eug on here laugh.gif . (My pledge name was Gershwin) I loved doing radio shows and writing for the paper, but I was going through some major emotional crud and ended up leaving the Berg that next fall.

I ended up graduating from Youngstown State University in December '01 with a major in telecomunications, minor in journalism. I also met my husband Steve while at YSU. He tried out for my audio theater play, and the first thing I said to him was 'Oh my God, it's a guy!' (getting guys to try out was rough). The sad thing is -- I didn't even cast him. Oops. He isn't too bitter about that, though. We married in April of '06, and are in the 'burbs currently, with our Jack Russell Terrier Holden. (Can you say HYPERDAWG?)

My claim to fame in college was that I made a website for That 70s Show in its first season and ended up flying out to LA to meet the cast. They were (mostly) a really sweet bunch, and the experience was one I never thought I'd have in my life!

I currently work as a supervisor for a telemarketing company, and I love my job and the people I work with! I am a HUGE music nut with really eclectic tastes -- everything from The Dresden Dolls to Butch Walker to Jeff Buckley to, of course, DC himself. I also love writing (my goal is to finish a screenplay one day), sushi, and just enjoying life.

That's all I've got for now... tongue.gif
starshineangel
BLAH--- okay so I guess it's my turn now. Let's see...

My name is Katie. I'm 24, but I will be 25 in July. I live in West Virginia, which quite possibly might be the most boring state EVER, but I have a lot of friends here and I'm starting to really like it. I am currently a sophomore at Marshall University. I used to attend Ohio State, but I had a rough start there and basically had to start over again.

I am currently an education major (K - 9) emphasis on English, but thinking about adding science to the mix. I love words so much... I love to write and read and I love just learning new words to incorporate into my vocabulary. One of my biggest hobbies is writing fan fiction, but I rarely share it with anyone. If I try writing a DC one, maybe I'll post it on here to share with everyone. smile.gif

I absolutely LIVE for music. I sing and play guitar in a band right now, and I'm getting ready to join another one. My mom tells people I learned to sing before I learned to talk. I don't know how true that is. My favorite genre of music is the 60s/70s. I am a huge Beatles fanatic. I just got Abbey Road on vinyl and listening to it brough the biggest smile to my face! I pretty much will give anything a listen at least once. My friend looked at my iPod and said I had the biggest variety of music they had ever seen on it.

I am also a huge sports fanatic: well baseball and football anyway. I am a HUGE New York Yankees fan. I practically live for college football Saturdays. (Go Buckeyes!) I play fantasy football as well as fantasy baseball, but I was definitely not blessed with my own athletic talents.

I have two jobs currently: I work at Aeropostale part time and I work with a group of inner city middle school kids (tutoring and stuff).

I'm a huge American Idol fan and got the chance to meet the top ten (minus Blake) last year and it was incredible. I've met a few contestants from other seasons also and I will be seeing Carrie Underwood in a just a few short weeks.

I don't know if there's anything else or not. lol

I'm glad there's another young Beatlemaniac here! biggrin.gif I would LOVE to get Abbey Road on vinyl. My dad got me the White Album for Christmas last year and I was thrilled! It's one of my most prized possessions.

It looks like we are rivals in baseball. I'm a HUGE Boston Red Sox fan.

And I just went to Carrie Underwood's concert not too long ago. She is one of my favorite AI winners.
Cassandra
Hello, is it me you're looking for? hehe. I'm a dork, I know. Well I'm Cassandra as you all know. smile.gif I live in California. I'm 20, just celebrated my birthday last month. I went to SoCal for my bday and had the greatest time there! I got to be Grand Marshal in the Disneyland parade!! biggrin.gif My friends and I rode in the same car Eli Manning was supposed to be in. It was an amazing experience.

I love all sports, but baseball and hockey are my loves. I'm a GINORMOUS A's fan. And I kid you not when I say that. Love the game of baseball! I'm at just about every A's game... well 70+ out of 81 home games. smile.gif I sit in the left field bleachers.. if you ever watch a game, I'm where all the flags are.. I wave one myself. Been on t.v. entirely too much. Get to know a lot of the players being at the coliseum so much and I love it. Got back from Spring Training in Arizona on Monday which is always fun! I'll be up Tuesday and Wednesday at 3 AM to watch their first two games.. they're playing in Japan. What I do for my team.. lol.
Enough about the A's.. I'm also a HUGE Sharks fan. They're sooooooo much fun to watch.. especially being at the games. The intesity and aggressiveness is amazing. Hockey is such a great sport, but so underrated. I was just at the game on Wednesday and they won in the shootout!! Plus, they clinched a spot in the playoffs!

I was a mediocre Idol fan up until last season. Blake got me hooked the moment I laid eyes on him. laugh.gif He's my number one idol and nobody can replace him, not even David.. but David is a close second! tongue.gif LOVE his album, Audio Day Dream. It's amazing! I'm also a big fan of Blake's band, A.D.D. They're all a bunch of amazing guys and musicians! I hella love KJ Sawka, his drummer. Ahhh, serious infatuation with him. wub.gif He's an incredible drummer and I love his music.

Umm.. I work at a doctor's office in the chart room. Hate my job because of my dumb boss. She plays favorites and it's soooo annoying. My good friend there gets me through the days. We both hate that place. lol. The place is actually not that bad, it's just our department.

Random stuff: I'm practically addicted to Dr. Pepper. I love Starbucks.. caramel fraps! My favorite color is green. My favorite show EVER is Supernatural! Underrated show.. you should watch it if you don't!! My other favorite is Family Guy! One of my favorite movies is Superbad! Hilarious movie! I love Tinkerbell, Stitch, and Tigger. I love too many baseball players. tongue.gif I love chocolate ice cream. I love doing crossword puzzles.. no not because of David! I just always have. biggrin.gif

Uhhh... I think I've covered just about everything.. if not I'll just add! smile.gif

That is about the coolest thing ever! What a small world it is! I never thought I'd end up meeting another Eug here! I don't know if I mentioned it in my other post (I pretty much wrote my autobiography...so I can't remember what all I said! lol) but my pledge name is Koala...Pallas is my Ap Lil' Sis pledge name. I really like to use pledge names as screennames because I'm very uncreatvie when it comes to makeing up screennames and I like to have something creative as my s/n. Koala just didn't seem like a good screen name though!

Anyway, i started to like David Cook when i first time saw him on TV in the first audition. Just a sympathic guy with great voice and everything. I've never really been much into American idol stuff, but this year i have ;D I'm sorry that my english may be a little bad, but but, sorry. :Dhaha. as far as american idol goes, ive followed it from season one, and its really the only reality show I closely follow :] , but my favorite tv show besides idol is the office, i love love love that show!

Hey all! Some call the the gangster of love, but most just call me Ashley. I'm 15 years old, but I like to think that I have to soul of a cranky old cat lady tongue.gif . I love many different types of music, and I'm a big fan of Green Day, Say Anything, OK Go, and Death Cab for Cutie. I have four dogs, one cat, and a bunny named Edward who enjoys watching AI with me. I play the violin, I sing, and I've started taking guitar lessons. I hope to be a fairly successful musician, and I would one day love to open for our David, but that may just be a pipe dream. rolleyes.gif

Hahaha, oh geeze, reading through these, it's like all of you are a little bit of me:)

I am MEGAN, 17, and I live in Virginia Beach. Psychology and English and History are my favorite subjects and I write like it's going out of style. If you knew me you'd either fall in love with me or want to punch me in the face, guaranteed. I'm straight-to-the-point, I won't bullshit you, and I tend to tell the truth even if it hurts feelings. I have a very sarcastic and mean sense of humor and people who have just met me have told me I have a scary laugh.

I have a boyfriend of almost 8 months, but he's in IL for Navy school because he "didn't want to go to college," so he decided to up and leave me. Assbag. smile.gif We're kind of on break, kind of not... it's complicated. So while he's away I'm pretending that my boyfriend is mister David Cook. And if I ever got the chance...I'd try my damndest to make it so he couldn't walk;)

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
Unfortunately, all the boys are kind of losers.

I have three dogs (it was 4, RIP Taz), a crazy cat that has demons in it, and a bird who screams and says "woowoowoo" when he sees boobs. He did that when we got him from the pet store, so I think something funny went on after hours there:)

Hmmmm...I grew up on a healthy diet of the good stuff like the Beatles, Nirvana, Zepplin, Billy Idol, Sabbath, CCR, David Bowie, Sting and the Police, Nilsson, Orbison, Elvis, the Cure, Alice Cooper, Nine Inch Nails, Joy Division, and pretty much the entire catalog of music from the 50s and 60s. Labyrinth starring David Bowie and his sock-in-the-pants monster was my first favorite movie, followed by The Lost Boys and anything starring the Brat Pack. I have a particular fondness for young Anthony Michael Hall<3 Haha.

Currently, besides having the Axium and Analog Heart stuff on repeat, I am in love with Atreyu, Escape The Fate, Bright Eyes, the Academy Is, Brand New, the Matches, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Senses Fail, New Year's Day, August Burns Red, Start Trouble, Butch Walker's old stuff (Letters is the best CD in the world), Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Bullet For My Valentine, and assorted screamy and pop-punk acts.

I live for shows and local bands. Audiostrobelight is hands-down the best local band around here in VABCH, seen 'em twice and they get better every time. My best friend Greg's band The Grunge Models is also really good, and not just because they're all my friends and Greg wrote a song about me:)
Nothing gets me higher than being at the barricades of a show, close enough to reach out and touch the god that's bringing the music to me.

Don't let that fool you though. I chill out and cry to Fiona Apple every couple weeks. The Honorary Title chills me out and I have a LOT of Chris Isaak on my mp3 player.

No drugs for me. I think smoking anything is disgusting. I have a hard time swallowing pills, I hate things going up my nose, I'm slightly asthmatic, and I hate (but aren't afraid of) needles. So even if I wanted to do any drugs I couldn't.

When I'm passionate about something I throw my heart into it full-throttle. Hence my DC stories and growing catalog of pictures and music all over.

I hate high-school drama. I don't act 17 most of the time, so it pisses me off when people I know actually do. I can't wait to graduate and leave it all behind.

Umm...that's pretty much it. I might edit and add more later, who knows.
I'm off to go write more of It's Still There<3

Um........ok my name is Hanna (short for Hannalore) . One of my favorite colors are teal. Im a pretty nice person . My favorite subject is math tongue.gif yes I like math. Shows I watch are the Office, Top Chef, LOST, American Idol, and Mythbusters....I have more I just cant think of any right now. I love the movie Atonement smile.gif I am in my schools marching band (yes laugh if you want) I play percussion. Thats all I can think of right now

I'm Emily, and I'm from the great (and small) state of New Hampshire. cool.gif However I'm living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the moment because my whole family moved down here... mmhmm. I sort of love it and hate it at the same time. Love the warm weather, hate the tourists and HATE the traffic. I miss trees, too, there's hardly any trees.
Anyway, I'm 19 years old (20 in July) and I'm NOT going to college... I tried. I went for a semester and decided that it wasn't for me. All I want to do is be a wife/mom, as lame as that sounds. My boyfriend of 2 years is currently attending the United States Naval Academy and we plan on getting married when he graduates in 2011. Yay. biggrin.gif
I love to read! I work at Barnes & Noble; it's like my dream job. I'm a lead, so I'm in charge of the non-fiction part of the store (although that may change with our new location, I dunno yet). I also like to write, play video games (I'm a huge role-playing game nerd), do crosswords/word searches/sudoku (even though I'm not very good at sudoku - I flew from Myrtle to Boston and managed to get one sudoku puzzle done), and of course I love to listen to music. Some of my favorite bands/artists are Anberlin (most favorite EVER), Mae, Muse, Blindside, Jack Johnson, Coldplay, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Matchbox Twenty, Keane, A Fine Frenzy, Nightmare Of You, Copeland, The Cranberries, The Spill Canvas... yeah, the list goes on. And of course I can't get enough of David Cook! Or else I wouldn't be here.

Anyway, that's me. I just love having fun. smile.gif

Aww, that's awesome! I don't think that sounds lame at all. I'm 19 and I am in college, but my #1 ambition in life is to get married and have a family (I want like six kids, no joke) and if I had to I would give up college and a career for that in a heartbeat. I think it's cool to find other girls with that same mindset; there don't seem to be many of us these days.

Also, working at Barnes And Nobel would be amazing. I'm hoping next year when I move out and into a bigger city I can get a job somewhere like that.

Here it goes hope you don't fall asleep on me haha.
My name is Alicia Hoaks and I am 24 years old. I live in Lafayette, Indiana and have since I was born.
I graduated from Jeff High School in 2003, and looking back I am surprised I made it. Meijer Department store is my current employer and I hate it so much. Focusing on getting back into college and maybe going into PR or something along those lines.
Music has been one of my loves since an early age and since I am tone deaf and don't play any instruments, I have settled for being addicted to artists and bands.
I found MTV at 4 years old and blasted my mom out of bed every morning. My favorite television show is One Tree Hill. Through that show I have met some of the most amazing friends and it helped me face my fear of flying. I had to get on my first flight and go to Wilmy to meet a friend and ended up meeting the cast and some of the crew. I can't have children so I just love my niece as much as I can. Her name is Hannah and she is the best thing to happen in my family for a long time.
I loved David the first time I saw him audition and then he sang Hello and made me love a song I can't stand. Well I do have more stories, and if you wanna know just ask me.

You officially rock for mentioning Butch Walker! Way back in the Marvelous 3 days, my friends and I were hardcore fans and got to hang with him a few times. He is SUCH a sweetheart (and a flirt -- at the last concert we went to of theirs, my friend Lindsey and I were making contingency plans in case our friend Jaime up and ran off with him. He had a lil' crush on her.). He is such an underappreciated talent, and Letters IS one of the best CDs ever.

He's also cool with sharing his SKYY vodka with a twist of lime, hahahaha. Good taste!

EEk, jealous! I would LOVE to meet him. Hell, I would love to run away with him too.
Mannn. Is it just me, or is his newer stuff just not even on the same level as Letters?
I could play that CD five times a day everyday and it would never get old.

Ahhh, the only rockstar who's ever wanted to share with me was Matt Friction from the Pink Spiders.
He offered me a hit from his cigarette as we were walking across the Warped Tour compound a couple years ago, and I pleasantly declined.

His newer stuff isn't even close to Letters. Nothing on the new one compares to Maybe It's Just Me, Don't Move, Mixtape, Joan....agh, the list could go on. Have you ever heard his Marvelous 3 stuff? GOOD STUFF YES YES. He also sings a Queen medley that could put my current favorite Australian's renditions to shame.

Heh. I have a picture of my friends and I with him, Jayce, and Slug -- in the pic, we're all smiling at the camera except for him -- he's busy macking on Jaime IN the picture! It is hysterical.

Major: English lit. I'm looking to transfer out of my lame community college for something better.
Music: Rock, alternative, some pop (not the teeny or tweeny bopper crap) and a few soundtracks mixed in.

-I used to play the piano and sing in the choir....and gave both activities up after high school.
-I'm Italian on my father's side. Problem is that I don't know much of the language except for the greetings and certain food dishes.
-I'm constantly working out. I'll sometimes hit the treadmill for 45-50 minutes almost every day. Sometimes more than that.

I'm from a small town here and currently attending a community college and in my last semester of prereqs and then its off to nursing school well hopefully....I find out if I got accepted or not in May! ahhh!

I'm a CNA (professional butt wiper tongue.gif ) at a local nursing home....and I absolutely love it! Who else can say they have 30+ grandparents? I work evening shift but I make sure I have Tuesdays off for idol! But I do work Wednesdays so I now have all the residents at work hooked so the TV is always turned to Idol!! In the mornings, I take care of my 89-year-old grandmother so life is busy

Another passion is that I run with my local volunteer rescue squad and I love it! Def. different from the nursing home!

I'm a huge football nut...PACKERSSSSSS BABY! And yes Favre retiring is a touchy subject; I'm a loser I know. I love anything outdoorsy, reading, movies, TV, music festivals, concerts, camping, vacations, road trips, etc etc. The usual stuff! I'm a huge music fan too.... you name it I probably listen to it but I lean more towards the rock/alternative side of things...hence why I love DC!!! He is true, raw talent and his guitar skills are AMAZING. Being a musician I understand the determination and skill that goes behind mastering an instrument especially guitar even though my weapon of choice is piano. I really hope to go to the AI tour this summer for the first time ever!
