I just heard about this today. It might force Archie fans to vote hard but for the casual viewers, if Archie messes up than it's going to be a problem for him.
If he's been so coached by his dad, I'm thinking we will see a difference in him this week and that might be bad for archie fans

i think that archie will look like a lost puppy tomorrow without his dad's help. he's gonna screw up on something and regardless what that something is the judges will praise him.
Just to clarify things...my sister (part of the archie angels thing) claims that the relatives of all of the contestants cannot be backstage anymore now. Whether or not you believe her, i just wanted to put that out there. : )

We told you last week that Jeff Archuleta had been banned from backstage at Idol for various reasons, including TMZ’s story that he cost the show lots of money when he changed some lyrics to son David Archuleta’s song. The National Ledger now reports that the last straw that got Stage Dad from Hell banned was the fact that he tried to make a side deal with one of Idol’s sponsors while they were on a video shoot. Apparently, Jeff may have tried to get an endorsement deal for David and harassed the sponsors.
When people start causing problems, then people start looking into the troublemaker to dig deeper. Not sure about this one, but it's interesting.

Like I've said before, I feel terribly sorry for David A. The pressure of the finale must be intense but then you have your Dad acting up AGAIN, causing a stir in the media. Grow up Mr. Archuleta, it's not ABOUT you! Of course I'm voting 100% for Cookie, but I truly hope Archie finds success at what he's so good at WITHOUT Dad.
