Oh my gosh, I LOVE "Hunger Strike"!!! One of my favorite parts is towards the end where Cornell sings "I don't mind stealing bread...." and David did it some justice here! Thanks for sharing. That was freakin' electric!

I didn't really care for this song...until I heard MWK cover it.

And I can say that seeing David live is fantastic! I always loved going to the shows 'cuz I knew I was going to see a rockstar performance. You guys will all be in for a treat when he can do his own shows...not the AI tour!

I love this song and it would have been great to have seen him with his band or the Midwest Kings. When he was with Axium, they played bars in the Midwest and came to Wisconsin. I only wish I would have known about him then so I could have went to see him while he was here.

lol....so when I started watching Idol this season, I saw this guy with a mohawk and red streaks in his hair and I was like "HEY! I've seen him before!!!!!!" I remember a couple semesters ago I went to visit my best friend up in Tulsa and saw him doing his bartending thing...and then a few nights later seeing him actually perform...I was like man this guy is truely something! So imagine my surprise when I see him auditioning in Omaha! I now feel truly lucky to say that I saw him in his early years. He was great then, he's great now, and he'll be great from now till whenever!

I visited a friend in Tulsa a couple of years ago, and we saw some band. MWK opened, and I thought they were fantastic. I recognized the intro to "Hunger Strike," since I'm a huge Soundgarden/Cornell and Pearl Jam/Vedder fan. I was completely blown away by the cover of it. I went home and joined their mailing list, because the band rocked. I fully expected them to be huge.

Right before Idol (Omaha night), my Tulsa friend texted me and told me to watch, because someone he vaguely knew from the Tulsa music scene was going to be on there.

Bam!

Later, I found out about the MWK connection, and I remembered seeing them. It wasn't until I found "Hunger Strike" that I remembered what I'd LOVED about that show that night.

So... I guess I saw David way back when.
