want to go. have planned on going. no tickets. broke right now - need money. lol.

The way they keep adding tour dates, I'm holding off... but I always wait til the last minute to get tickets anyway. lol Didn't get them until 3 days before show last year. LOL

I'm still debating on it. No offense to anyone, but I know that there will be a LOT of overzealous tweenagers there and I'm not much for big @$$ crowds anyway. HOWEVER... However, I may just suck it up long enough to see the gorgeous rocker himself in person. If he's beautiful on my TV screen, then... he must be just "wowza!" in person.

I most definitely want to go, however i'm completely broke at this point and none of my friends want to go with me...so i'm super bummed to say that i'm probably not going to get to go, which sucks massively! Hopefully cookie finds his way back to kentucky when he gets all big and super famous on his own!

yes my husband is taking me and our two kids!!!!! i am soooooo excited. havent got tickets in the mail yet. im trying to figure out how to get his autograph and pic made with him. looking into meet and greets but it seems far fetched for me since i live in tennessee, about four hrs away. im still working on it though. HUGE FAN!!!! already got shirt and a new cook bag and pin in the mail today. ordered off ebay.

I'll be there! With 5 friends, although we're not sitting together. I got a ticket through the PopTarts internet pre-sale. (great seat) They decided later they would go when David won. So theirs aren't as close. We are going to have a blast.

David is fantastic, as well as most of the top 10. This the first time I'm going to the AI tour as most years the group is not as great as a whole.

Although as a Word Nerd, I would go no matter what. In fact, I'm going to Cinci., too.

so i just checked on ticketmaster today and there are still some pretty reasonably decent seats left and its getting harder and harder to resist going...at this point i am halfway to deciding to just suck it up and go on my own since all of my friends are fun-killers and wont go...

My friend from Louisville and I are going.....When she heard the concert was in Lexington, she was appalled! lol I've been looking for some more people who were going because I wanted to know if we were orgnizing a gift basket for him when he gets to Lex.....

Thats funny my friend and I are driving up from near Johnson City as well. I used to live in Lexington and ended up here. Maybe we will see u along the way

me and my husband will be driving from chattanooga, about 6 hours? we have great seats, 12 th row! so excited!
cant believe they arent coming to nashville, but we used to live in ky, so it doesnt seem that far.
atlanta is closer but there were no good seats left in atlanta they were all behind the stage

Yes!!! My husband and I are coming from Nashville. I bought the tickets a while back. Our anniversary is Sept. 1 so I surprised my husband with tickets!!! ( He says his gift is not the concert but how "happy" I will be after seeing David!!!! LOL)

The seats aren't the greatest - but as long as I am there - who cares. lol.

i may have an extra ticket for lexington ky to sell at face value (67.50 plus fees equals $80.00). it is just one by itself in section 14 - pretty good. i bought a single to get a closer seat, but ended up getting closer ones later. waiting to see if a coworker wants it.

Hi you guys! I just registered over here because I just got my tickets for the Kentucky concert and I was hoping to find some other WordNerds going too. I will be traveling with my husband about 5 and 1/2 hours to come and I am so excited! I know a lot of the other tour stops are doing gifts and tailgating and stuff and I didn't know if our venue had any of that organized. If not or if so I would love to help out. I'm a teacher so it is officially summer and I have plenty of time to dedicate to DC Can't wait to hear back from you all

where are you driving from? i am driving about 5 -6 hours too - from chattanooga area

ever heard of murphy nc? It is about 1 1/2 hours from chattanooga (we go there to shop sometimes). It is the first town you hit in NC... very very small! 4 hours from charlotte... about 2 1/2 from atlanta... but since those concerts were both on school nights and I am a teacher they didn't work out. Just thought of Kentucky and was stoked to see there were still lower level tics... not the best in the world... but at least I'll get to hear DC sing without getting a nosebleed

so are we interested in doing a group gift or anything? I would be happy to make us a big banner. I have the summer off and am very artistic! can't wait to see all the wordnerds representing there

we are coming from claiborne county. small world huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry it has taken so long to reply to ya. ive been totally bummed out. i had all of the idol episodes and all of the interviews and performances david did after winning recorded on my dvr and locked them all so they couldnt be deleted. i had actually planned on putting them on dvd this week. i turned on the tv sat morning around 6am and there was a warning that the hard drive on my dvr had been corrupted and all of my recordings would be deleted. the only thing to do was press select and that deleted EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very very upset. sorry to be such a bummer today but i am very excited to go see him in august. picked him during auditions to win and stayed with him the whole season. txt voted 250 times on the finale. around 100 on the others shows. huge fan. how bout you?

OMG I empathsize. I lost the top 24 and top 20 week before I could transfer to DVD because [I'm an idiot] I forgot to select "Keep until I delete."

I did remember, luckily to set the TiVo for 10 extra minutes each week ( I learned from past live show experiences) and didn't get kicked off after, "the winner is David...."

Now I'm going to transfer the last 5 weeks to dvd today after your story. I never even worried about this issue.

Hi again CookieMomTenn. Very excited that show is approaching,. Yes, I am a tremendous David Cook Fan. I liked him from the top 24, but knew he was the one when he sang "Eleanor Rigby." From that moment on I was hooked. I find it interesting to see how many people are coming to Lexington from Tennessee. What a surprise that there wasn't a show at least in Nashville. We are coming from Memphis, a bit of a drive, but it will be worth it to see our Idol. We have no idea how to get there. Oh well, that's what a GPS is for!!!! [/font][/size]

hey, yeah, lets keep it at the top. we have about a month to go! got my new smaller camera (panasonic lumix) just for the show. still may try to sneak my big cam. (at least i can use it for stalking, for sure). i think am am going to detach cam and zoom and put them in different bags so as to keep it low key. i am nervous about taking it cuz it is so expensive. someone said they will give you a warning before taking it. i know that they will give it back after the show, but that camera is my baby (we actually call it "the baby" - can you tell i dont have kids?) and i dont want anyone else touching it. there are only a couple of people i let hold it. sad, i know. .anyway i am rambling . just trying to keep the ky thread going.
(i can talk about cameras all day, as you see)

after reading posts, i think my seats are better than i thought. i have 12th row (section 1), but it is in the middle where the catwalk juts out (they say juts out 6-8 rows). so i could possibly have 4th row seats. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*falls to floor*
i have never been that close. the closest i have been will be 7th row for switchfoot tour in fall! (again, i ramble...)

getting sooooooo excited! there is not as much news of the concerts coming out these days, here and online, so i am hoping their move eastward will conjure up some juicy news and excitement.

Hey all! Newbie to the board but definitely not to DC, love him.

I know there are still tickets left and I'm still trying to decide to go but I'm from the southwestern Ohio area and even though I'm originally from Lousiville, I know nothing about Lexington or Rupp Arena (except that's it's the home of the Wildcats lol) I would love to try and come up early for the possible meet&greet by the buses if there's an area to do so.

Anyone know where this might happen or where the buses arrive there? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

^ Thanks for the welcome! And the ticket sounds pretty tempting. My problem is I have to have my sister drive me since interstates and I don't work LOL. I'm either driving around town or flying. I'm in Dayton, Ohio too so it's a little over 2 hours for me. But I am still in the planning stages and if sis doesn't drive I won't even have a ride down there. But I'm crossing my fingers I can work something out.
