I am not a fan of American Idol. Every year past, I watched the beginning to watch the fools who make themselves look ridiculous in the first few weeks of the show. I'm not much of a fan of anyone who has come out of AI. However, this year... as I watched the poor souls who were lied to by their mammas, David Cook came on and sang. Now, this man has talent. Not just weak can be fixed in a studio talent, but actual OMG he can really truly sing talent. I became a fan instantly. I've watched it every week. Each week I have dread that he's going to be voted off. Sadly, it's not because he's not the best (which he is) but because he's not your typical "idol". The general population of American Idol fans entail teenagers. Most of which are female teenagers, who many of which adore the cute little "other" David. Not that the boy can't sing.... he's just not all that good. I am surprised Disney hasn't scooped him up and bought his soul to sell in some idiotic TV show and various poorly made products. Anyways... I'm guessing he's going to win based on the fact that he's young and could easily be placed in a boy band of some sort. I'd love for the voting populace to prove me wrong. On a happier note if the unthinkable happens and David Cook does not win, he's gotten enough exposure to where he's going to get signed and I will be able to buy an album! That makes watching all that other nonsense worthwhile.
