I would like to try and do this but the problem is I have never done it and have no clue where to start!

I was actually wondering if a DVD or some sort of compilation is put out after idol finishes. I know in Australia they put out a compilation of the winner's journey - but I don't know what happens with American Idol.

I would love it if someone could let me know if this does happen so I can try and get a copy. We never hear much about American Idol here. As an example, I hunted three music shops the other day and managed to find one copy of Daughtry! I played it to some friends of mine and they freaked out - they thought it was excellent and they had never heard of Chris Daughtry!

I've already made a DVD with His journey from Audition to Winning Moment!! It turned out really good!!

I am going to make a DC DVD (maybe DVD's depending on how much will fit on one). I have the AI extra shows from David Hernandez's elimination all the way to the end. I also have the AI shows from Top 6 to the finale (my DVR some how erased the rest : ( ). I am also gathering some interviews such as Jay Leno and Larry King as well as the Disney commercial and the GH commercial. Pretty much everything I can get my hands on as far as a download I will put on an DVD. PM me if you want a copy of these DVD's I would be happy to make it for you guys!

An update to this post:
I went to start making my dvds and the episodes are no longer on my dvr. So, I will not be making any dvds. I am so bummed and I am so sorry to those who were interested. Damn Comcast!!!

I an working on that one....I was planning to start the whole season then look for other footages to add to it...Hopefully I get to finish it soon:D

to those making DVDs are you gonna include the judges' comments? cause am kinda on the fence about it. on one hand i wanna remember the good things they said about him, on the other (especially during the last performance) i just don't wanna get irritated by what simon said, eventhough he apologized. LOL

i was wondering what's your take on it. am still in the process of downloading videos too although i already have all his performances courtesy of this lovely site.

I plan to add all of the episodes of season 7 in the dvd then add his interviews.I am still working on the episodes of American Idol. I already finished half of it. Then maybe cd of his songs both pre-idol and idol.

hmmm the entire season would be too much for me. i didn't really like most performances LOL i'd probably do a little extra thing and put in michael johns' performances because i loved him first but that's about it.
