I am actually off all week (thank GOD!) while I'm in between jobs--I start a new job next week. What's scary is that the new place kinda wanted me to start this week, but when I realized this was AI finale week, I said I couldn't start until the 27th!! LOL

I've seen some posts on here about people re-arranging their schedules, so...what plans have you had to change in order to survive this finale fever??

Me! I was supposed to meet up with a friend to finalize our plans for a trip to NYC this weekend. Of course, DC takes priority! I will be camped out in front of the TV, NYC plans will have to wait a tad bit longer!

Nothing really. My schedule actually fits right in line with DC. I have a four hour morning class on Tuesday (great for passing the time and distracting myself....most times) and on Wednesday I'm at home all day on the internet chatting away the hours until the show starts. Only bad thing is going back to school on Thursday mornings when I'm too hyped up to think about the class at hand.

I'm actually glad I have a lighter college schedule for this quarter. Before I had, *gulp*, evening classes on Mondays/Wednesdays. Imagine how I would've been for the results shows!

Luckily my plans didn't need much re-arranging. I work in the mornings and go to school in the afternoons. Also, this is my finals week so I have less class than normal. But..the one thing I did change is that I have a paper due Wednesday and instead of writing it tomorrow like I usually would, I am writing it today so that I have nothing to do tomorrow! I just one final at 12:30 and then I'm coming home and preparing myself for the evening. I might go crazy since I'll have nothing to keep myself busy!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get out of working on Tuesday night, so I'm going to miss the performance episode. But I'm heading straight to my best friend's house after work to have a voting extravaganza and then watch the episode on her DVR. And she's not going to watch it until I get there so we can experience it together. What a pal. Haha.

One of my friends did want to hang out on Wednesday night, though, and I told him I couldn't. He asked why and I was just like, "Uhh... I just... have plans." And he said, "Oh yeah, American Idol isn't over yet, is it?" Busted!

Me! I moved my hair appointment that would have put me home after TMZ spoiler time tomorrow. Going to work-from-home tomorrow and Wednesday morning (after voting my fingers off on Tuesday night for *four* hours), taking Wednesday afternoon & Thursday morning off to host & recover from my AI party.

I will be working from about 10 am to 4:30 in the afternoon. I hate my job and well DC keeps me going on Tuesdays and then I have every Wednesday off. I am so wired on result shows days and since I have it off I drive myself crazy.

I did. I was supposed to close on Weds, my boss couldn't give me the day off. So I asked everyone and finally got someone to switch with me. I lied and said I had to take my sister somewhere. It just might seem a lil weird to say I NEED to watch AI! LOL

I have a final exam tomorrow from 11 to 1pm, then a class from 2 to 4pm, and i have to do an assignment with friends after that But if i hurry i'll get home at 7pm which is the time when i sit and read * wish i could watch it* what's going on at the show...
And i'll be free 4 hours to vote, vote and vote.

Don't ask me how i'm gonna study for the exam i have on wednesday! I still don't know

Well...I'm seriously thinking about skipping my usual Tuesday night class tomorrow night so I can watch live, but it's an important class since it only meets once a week, so I don't know yet.

As for Wednesday, I have class until 4, but when I get home I'm going to start baking a huge batch of cookies for that night...just for good luck and it's kinda cute LOL

I have arranged Tues and Wed evening social plans around AI. About 15 friends are coming over 7pm (west coast time) on Tues and we are having an Italian theme pot luck dinner then settling down an hour later with the wine in front of the TV to watch Cookie and Archie perform.
Wed evening the same gang of friends are coming over again but that evening will be cocktails galore to celebrate Cookie winning!!! I will try so hard NOT to check on here before the results show starts here to find out the outcome from all you east and mid west folks!

well, the finale will be shown here in the Philippines on a cable channel live at 8AM (Thursday)..so i'll be calling in sick on that day! harharhar! i have DAVID COOK Syndrome!... as for the voting, i'll be in the office Wednesday morning to vote vote vote (Gizmo rocks)!!!

I made sure work knew I was only working mornings this week because there is no way I could be at work in peace. My cousins also wanted to get a tattoo on the finale day, but I had to tell them no, not during Idol. We've been planning this forever and I keep postponing it, lol They weren't too happy with my latest reason but this is the more important one. DC takes all priority this week.

I was ecstatic to find out that I am not working either nights. Last year, I was working until about 10 at the mall and tried not to listen to any conversations just in case I was spoiled. Also, it didn't help that my DVR cut off the finale right before they announced Jordin the winner and I had to look it up on the internet.

That is so not happening this year.

ME! ME! ME! I have big meeting for my organization tomorrow, we have this meeting with the admin and being the public relations officer, they say I have to be there. The meeting is set at 10 AM tomorrow and since voting here would be from 9am-1pm, then I could pretty much say--I'm screwed. So my plan is to ditch the meeting (probably call in sick or something) and prioritize the voting. It happens once in a lifetime so I don't want to miss out on something phenomenal.

Unfortunately...I think I MIGHT be getting sick, seriously. I've been so sick to my stomach today, and it isn't from nerves this time. I really think I might be getting the flu

I hope I'm not, I want to enjoy tomorrow and Wednesday night (well, maybe Wednesday, depending LOL).

i'm a pediatrician here in the philippines. i cancelled all my patients' appointments on Wednesday morning for me to vote and since AI finale is being telecast in Manila on Thursday 8am, i also cancelled all my clinic hours that day. Hoping no emergency comes up!

I have to work close both nights. My boss won't give me a day off without a reason she finds acceptable. I've had to lie to her before to get a friggin' morning shift. She doesn't bend b/c she doesn't like me.

I'm actually glad I have a busy day at work tomorrow, it'll take my mind off of things for a while and make the day go faster. But I am definitely finished at 3 p.m. I have a lot to prepare for voting -- getting everything charged and set up, getting chairs for everyone and making a place for everyone to work, getting food for everyone. I've got 6 people, 5 cell phones, 1 Go Phone, and 1 land line on Dial Idol all set to work for 4 hours straight.

I know my friends have taken a day off from work, specially for the Results Show. But for me, I specially took 2 days' off, for both shows, which is something I don't usually do for Idol's past seasons finales.

Ha, ha, ha.... just to show how much i support David Cook!

I requested Tuesday and Wednesday off liek 2 months ago when i figured out what the finale week would be. I'm only a little obsessed. Okay so i'm severely addicted, and i think my family is planning a DC intervention. I WON't GO TO REHAB! I NEED MY COOKIE FIX!!

i actually said i could only work till 730 tomorrow to make sure i would be home to see the finale.. but i got screwed and have to work during idol tonight... so i will be taking my lunch break at 8/815 to make sure i see some of the performance... and we have 4 hours of voting, so when i get out at midnight, i will be voting like a crazy person...
