I was just reading an article online, and I guess last week in the audience at AI, there was a sign stating COUGARS FOR COOK!!

At Cooks Idol performances last week, one woman held up a sign that said Cougars for Cook, cougars being slang for women on the prowl for younger men. (Kansas City Star, 5/19/08)

Ok, I'm really not a cougar--I usually prefer men older than me--but in this case, HELL YES, I'm a cougar!! LOL

Definitely another cougar here! I'm married with children though, but I could fix the hubby part real quick. DC has done something to my heart and soul!

Ditto with mine. I know he knows that I've enjoyed his performances, but he'd probably be none too happy if he knew what I really thought of him.

You know how a lot of couples have that short list of celebrities that each is allowed to "sleep with"/fantasize about without suffering the consequences of a jealous reaction? It seems that my husband refuses to update mine from when we met; when I was totally into George Clooney and Antonio Banderas, because every new celeb that comes along that I've taken notice of, particularly the Idols, gets me monumental grief from hubby (he was especially brutal when I said that I liked Constantine).

My husband knows i think DC is F*&king HOT because I've announced it many times, and he's seen me on-line a few times, but I have tried to calm it down...after a few of my little out bursts I've kept the comments to myself. The less he knows, the better. Especially since he has given me grief.

I know all about the "list"..DC Is now number 1 on that list, and I don't think my husband would be surprised if I left him for Mr. Cook. I can honestly say I can't remember the last time i have felt this way in regards to a celebrity or anyone for that fact. That man just makes me weak all over. I have always been a sucker for guitarists and singers (it's my weakness), I had alot of friends in bands, and recording arts was my major in college..but I have to say NO ONE compares to DC.

I guess being almost 34, that makes me a cougar - even though I pass for much younger lol. So, count me in and hear me roar!!

My DH knows DC has made #1 on my list too. I am a sucker for a guy who can sing. David Cook is probably one of the sexiest guys alive. (You know, I'm alive! : )And I am one of the odd ones who have thought it from auditions.

See, I can't even do that. If I mention that I think some celeb guy is hot, hubby gets really huffy with me, like I just said I was leaving him. It sucks; I can appreciate that he likes Cameron Diaz and Jessica Alba, and I wouldn't be offended. We're married, but we're not dead!

I'll be 45 soon so I definitely qualify as a cougar! I can't believe how much time I spent on watching videos, tv appearances and listening to his music this week. It's insane! I've been feeling a bit guilty and trying to figure out why, but I think I did! It's not only his looks but is great personality that is appealing to everyone. There are not too many nice guys out there anymore, especially that are so good looking!

I'm a Cougar! I am loving this! David is awesome, and it's been great being in on this journey with him.
My family finds me very entertaining!! I haven't heard my husband laugh so much for a very long time! He does enjoy the perks this Cookie affection brings him!!

predatory implications, but I've seen cougars in my yard, and they are magnificent creatures!!!

What age constitutes being a cougar??? I am 35 and I have been married for almost 2 yrs (no kids yet).

Regardless, Cookie IS the sexiest man alive and what I wouldn't give for just one night with him.....

There is another group I belong to that uses these terms, and they have defined the ages as:

Under 25 - Cubs
25 to 35 - Cats
35 and up - Cougars
Though I love the "Panther" one! So maybe define it as:
35 to 45 - Cougars
45 and up - Panthers

On the Today Show thread a woman called David the second coming of Jon Bon Jovi, trying to explain this fascination we all seem to be feeling. I originally thought more along the lines of Springsteen (since I think I've got the same look on my face as when I talk about Bruce), but I think JBJ is more accurate.

Talent is sexy, intelligence is sexy, genuince niceness is sexy, and then there's a haircut and forgetting to shave and that gorgeous half-smile -- wow! So when you see a celebrity who encompasses all of these aspects, we're just drawn to him. You want to know if it's real, if men you might actually meet in your own life can measure up. Trying to sift through all the articles and interviews just to find out that it really might be possible for someone to be this sexy -- well, then you feel there's hope for men in this world!!!

BUT i dont think women 40----whatever are old..that is STILL very young! and some of the most beautiful women in the world are in thier 40's and older, with that said...my mom is in her 50's as is my mother-in-law...i kid you NOT..they voted on lanelines..cells and texted for DC to WIN! they LOVE HIM...that is why we MUST listen to people that are older than us! cuz they are SMART! and know what is great when they see it, as in DAVID COOK! oh and my dad--father--in--law, and hubby love DC! so yep! My daughter who is 20 has been teasing me about my obsession with David.

BUT I got her to admit that he is HOT! LOL

She's not anywhere near ga-ga over him. But is now concerned that when she's brings her guy friends to the house I will try to hit on them. She has nothing to worry about there. They aren't even in the same universe as David.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one infatuated with this phenominal man. I could look a photo's of him all day. His looks and his voice give me feelings I haven't felt in a long time.
It's like he's the Elvis of our time, just 100 times better looking.

Yeah, really! Normally I don't have much interest in men under 40. David is a rare exception.

I said the same thing about DC being our next Elvis. I met Elvis when he was in his prime. and I'd say he was pretty darn good looking. Even though EP didn't have a college education, he was very well read and intelligent and oozed with sex appeal, especially when he performed. He was hot, hot, hot! And he was also very humble about his success.

It's this humbleness in both of these guys that's such a turn on and what makes women love them so much inaddition to their sexiness.
