Interesting... wink.gif Thank you for sharing.

The only thing I'm afraid of is that it might make the DA fans vote harder for DA and it might make the people who haven't decided yet who they want to vote for vote for DA. sad.gif Example found on mjsbigblog :

What load of crap. Simon Cowell is such a dumbass. But I already knew that of course. So now DC deserves it because he has “worked harder”??? What a load of bullshit. The manipulations and favoritism by this show never cease to amaze me.

I really like both Davids and wasn’t going to vote but I’ve changed my mind and am now voting for DA just to screw with TPTB. Their over the top pimping of DC disgusts me.

Lets vote for David Cook as if our lives depend on it tomorrow. He'll need our votes. wink.gif

call me insane but i don't think ANYONE is pimping DC. I mean, everyone has been on the Archie bandwagon since the show started, the judges and the producers and the media (what with the news about his dad and all). i find this very weird that they would think DC is getting all the attention when all the while Archie has been (in my opinion) been the front runner.

they're just getting scared because DA's grip on the crown is slipping... smile.gif

This was funny! And Simon's right that DC does deserve this more (sorry Archie). However people will react to that, oh well. But people who really understand -- know that's true. DA is young and has a lot more to do with growing up, developing himself, etc. Well, we all know here, so I won't go on about it.

I think that Simon was right on the money. However, any comment from him is going to obviously cause a knee jerk reaction on the other side. We just can't be complacent thinking that it is a done deal. We need to be proactive in voting the entire 4 hours.

As far as the interview is concerned, I got quite a chuckle out of it. Jay was working his magic and Simon was hilarious. Worth losing a little sleep over last night. laugh.gif

I'm afraid of voters getting complacent because of Simon's comments although I loved them. laugh.gif

I just got a PM on MS from a friend of mine. I don't know if she really understands about the decision with the coronation song or not. She claimed that the choice for Archie was really in his favor. I told her that they were allowed to pick 2 different songs out of the top 10 of the most voted on songs. I just hope the fans won't get all stupid tonight because of what Simon said and think they don't have to vote because they do! I still wouldn't rule out TBTB manipulating with the vote though. I don't trust them.

When Jay brought that up I thought, Simon, how are you going to explain your way out of this?

He told it like it was, just as he always does. "That was the face of someone thinking, 'What in bloody hell was that?!?'" laugh.gif

Yes he does, and he definitely didn't need to say it and we have all heard those exactly words come out of his mouth but the face said it all for him! laugh.gif

His face was priceless! And of course he was going to tell it exactly how he thought, but I like how he said he still loves Fantasia, you know? Cuz she's still amazing.
And am I the only one who got a kick out of her performance, in a kinda good way -- like I thought it was entertaining with all that energy and fun. Just me? laugh.gif Of course I can totally see why some would get that reaction.

And it was nice of him to defend Paula, but he didn't have it down exactly (she was reading notes mixed up with DC's first and Jason's second, but anyway!).
I thought it was funny how he just plain out said, "and she got it right, his second performance wasn't good."

Yep, after all said and done, Paula did get it right even though she sort of jumped ahead of herself. oops! laugh.gif
pirate skittles!
Ahahaha!

That was so hilarious! XD

I also watched the Ellen bit, but I don't know if there's any 2nd part to that floating around, is there? o_O

you know what, i have to agree with you on this. since the beginning they've been very kind to Archie (esp the judges) and now that DC's talent is showing and everybody is liking him, they start to hate him. oh well, that my friends is what you call SHOWBIZ!!! DC better win and he totally deserve it - not just bec he worked harder but bec he's everything Archie is not.
