Thank so much! I've been wanting "Dream Big." I don't get why the judges didn't like that song. I totally enjoyed it.

The only thing I did notice was that the audio from the finale was a little messed up. I guess the venue was the culprit. But both the guys sounded like they were singing in a well. It didn't matter to me though

I thought you guyses might want to know: Not only is David's single "Time of My Life" Number 1 on iTunes, but "Dream Big", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", and "The World I Know" are at 3, 4, and 8, respectively. WTGDC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: So, apparently, there's a studio version of Dream Big. Does anybody have it here, cuz I am out of iTunes money. Greatly appreciated!

My first time to be joining a forum outside the Philippines and I was surprised to see a lot of Filipinos here.

I've never followed AI regularly. In fact, I was only able to watch a couple of episodes of AI6 last year. The only finals I was able to watch were the AI 3, 4 and 5 Finals.

But AI7... this is a different story. Even from the auditions, you would know that there's a goldmine of talents this season. Even then it was easy to know who would stand out. My top 4 going into the Top 24 were DC, Archie, MJ and Carly (in that order). AI7 is phenomenal! Talents overflowing!

And the AI7 Finals... Amazing!

Though Archie chose all ballads (which seemed like contest pieces. Archie being a singing contest veteran), DC showed his versatility in his 3 choices. DC is the total package, the real deal. In his three songs, he showed and added his trademark (soulful raspy voice) and embraced each song as if they were his own.

DC started strong with I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, as if he was in his own rock concert infront of millions of people. This is the best rendition I've heard of ISHFWILF, after U2 of course. Nevertheless, DC made it as if it's a new song, that the now generation would sing and listen to.

Second round.... Though the judges may have not liked Dream Big, the lyrics were very inspirational, and the upbeat tempo really suited DC's style and the new generations of music lovers are into this thing. Dream Big has a better chance of being a hit than what Archie chose in the second round. In fact, in the Philippines, a lof of Filipinos are loving Dream Big, and I don't know of anyone from here who remembers what Archie sang in this round. Archie did great, but the song was forgettable. Fortunately, no one noticed when DC forgot some lyrics in Dream Big (He sang "don't have faith" twice). People barely noticed. Like what Paula said, "If you forget the lyrics, don't let the people know about it." DC is very professional. I only noticed DC forgot it when I was listening to Dream Big the third time around.

DC showed his sensitive side in the last round. He'd always wanted to sing The World We Know and never got the chance till the Finals. It was a tough round for DC for we all know that Archie would be singing Imagine, from which he got the best praises the first time.

I've always liked Simon's bluntess and honesty to a fault, and agreed with his remarks most of the time. But I totally disagreed with him in the AI7 Finals.

This was the turning point. With all the negatives that DC's third performance got from the judges and with the title being handed to Archie literally by the judges, DC's fans rallied and gave DC a landslide victory over Archie.

It's as if the winning song Time of My Life was written for DC. It was destined to be sang by DC. The words were really narrating DC's journey in AI7. When he sang it with full of emotions and humility in the Finale, everyone knew that this would be a hit.

In the Philippines, a lot of Filipinos spent a lot of time and money in helping DC win. Until now DC euphoria is everywhere.

I was at a family gathering last weekend and I was surprised to know that all my relatives who were there were following AI7, and everyone - young and old alike - was rooting for DC. My 3-year old nephew was singing along to Time of My Life. My 9-year old nephew memorized DCs style in Always Be My Baby. And my other nephew, a high school band vocalist, was downloading DC's songs and performances. And his mom - a Chemistry educator - is now known in her school as Mrs David Cook.

If only David Cook would know how famous he is in the Philippines. If he would stage a concert here, it would indubitably be a pandemonium.

Thanks again. Anyway I just hope he'd have all his AI 7 songs to be recorded in the studio... cause I like his song "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"...

does anybody know why when i download the songs from sendspace after a few hours an explanation point shows up next to them and i can't listen to them anymore because the file cannot be located??

I've never registered in my entire life (41 years) for a fan site. I have been such a big fan of David Cook's since I started watching American Idol this year for the first time. I've been so touched by his heart, his attitude, his so apparent love for his family. I can feel that he is sincerely a great guy. I hope for him that his fame will not corrupt his goodness. I think of him a bit like my son, lol. I wish him well and I'd like to keep tabs on what goes on with him. And beside all of that, I absolutely love his voice and his singing style!

Just wish I could make the download work for the Top 2 Results Show, as I missed a large part of it, and would love to see the entire show.


BTW: this forum reminds me soooo much of forums I frequented a lot as part of an online MMORPG I used to play.
