If you're the last person to reply to a topic and then you reply again straight away, it merges the 2 posts into one. Does that make any sense?

Makes perfect sense - will try now!

EmmaC - wow! I was in Lidlington about 3 weeks ago. Auntie Anne got TORTURED about DC. I should be back over through the Summer. Last trip was a lobby parliament trip.

atmosphere, I love genetics. However, I know there's chemistry in it. I figure if you like it, you'll work for it. We go together like Adenine and Thymine!

I shall, if I get time. You'll usually find me trekking out in Woburn with monkeys on my chair [I can hunt pictures of that for you] or in London's West End.

Nope, I like the book though. Although I have heard the film's nothing like it!
xMakeMeFeelItx
I haven't seen it, but the book was amazing. It's not as good as A Gathering Light by Jennifer Donnelly though - that book is a word nerds dream. Each chapter [most of them anyway] is based around a word from the dictionary, and it is based on a true murder.mystery in 19th Century America.

The film obviously has the same story line but a lot of things are different. I watched the film last night for the first time and I swear I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life! Haa.

I started crying at the wake and didn't stop until about 15 minutes after the end. It's just amazing... I love how it has everything in the one film. I could watch it over and over again but for the sake of my poor eyes and head, I won't watch it just yet!

Indeed I am a fan of Shayne Ward! Although I didn't like him on the X Factor... well I did like him but I prefered Andy to be honest. In the last few months I've just suddenly started liking Shayne. I love his voice, it's so sweet and there's something about it that I can't put into words...

So yeah, I'm not sure why I didn't take to Shayne on the X Factor. I think I must have been going through some kinda end of teens crisis or something!

DC is actually only the second person I've liked from the beginning that has gone onto win! Will Young was the first... the moment he won Pop Idol was amazing. I swear, I'll never forget that moment. I must have voted for him hundreds of times that night, I remember my mum going mental with me a few weeks later about the phone bill! Lol.
xMakeMeFeelItx
I remember when Leon was on... I was staying in the hospice and we all had a nice BIG X Factor Party that evening, complete with free pizza. Anyway - Leon came on and I lifted my mobile and phoned and texted EVERYONE and went 'that dude's gonna win, he's AMAZING!'. And then I choked on blood with DC. Mum loves Cook too - she loves his personality. My niece is in a current 'I hate American Idol' state - she'll come around though.

Shayne wasn't an obvious choice for me, funny enough. Liked him once the live shows started though. Here's a picture of me and him:

Just spent ages reading everyone's messages on this thread. Really pleased to hear he has so many UK fans. I'm from Hyde, near Manchester. Really hope he does a concert in Manchester some time soon.

Can't stop either watching him on video, or You Tube, or if I'm out listening to all his stuff on the iPod. Completely obsessed I know, but I also know I'm not alone.

I also love Chris Daughtry who came 4th in 2006. Hope that David has as much success as Daughtry has, no reason why not.

Welcome Kathryn smile.gif Yep, there's definite love in the UK for Mr Cook! Hee, I don't care where his concert over here will be, I'm pretty sure I'd go!

I know, you're so not alone. Apart from a very few other songs my constant playlist is all David Cook! I've had my iTunes for 3 years and in about 2 months David's managed to get lots of songs into my top 25 most played (normally I get bored of songs after a while and create new playlists, but not this time, DC's played on loop!)

Season 5 was the first time I watched AI and I liked Chris Daughtry but it never occurred to me to follow him up after the show. I hear he's doing really well and I didn't think he was over here much but then I was watching a 'top 10 downloaded rock songs this week' countdown on The Hits (us students have nothing better to do!) and Daughtry was on it! I will have to investigate some of his songs!

Hi, fellow UK fan here, only just discovered this thread, usually only go to the 'all about David Cook'/'News+Articles' pages to catch any updates, nice to see so many UKDC fans on here! Can't wait for the album, especially the first single DC has a hand in! It's probably a good thing radio stations here have as yet not picked up 'Time of My Life' (although it is riding high on itunesUK!!) because for people who don't know who he is, it's not exactly the best showcase of his talent/creativity/originality but it does at least round off his AI experience nicely. Looking forward to all good things from DC!

Was Dave the one that left the band? I can't remember who it was.

I can't remember either - he was blonde and rather eccentric.

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...65-6de2bf1da2b1 - that's my cousin's MySpace. Check her out. It's quite amuzing when you're in the middle of the theatre district of Belfast and she's going 'MICHAELAAAAAAA, MARIEEEEEEEEEEEEE' out the window of the car when you don't even know she's home.

I don't have anything by David. He's in Music College. He did Hallejuia at my nephew's funeral and is amazing at it. If I can, I'll talk him into doing it at my birthday in a few weeks.
