Lol...thats actually wrong, not to blow my own trumpet but my dad and brother are in MENSA so I was asked to do a written IQ test.. this was *thinks* 2 years ago, and I got 152... You need over 160 to even be considered though. Must have gotten dumber, or paying to much attention to CSI when doing it

Does it time you? Only I went to get my cuppa tea halfway through... I was only gone a minute, so it probably wouldn't make a difference! I''m still higher than average!

Jun 16 2008, 11:54 AM
Haha Sarah, I personally don't think IQ represents academia at all!! I just got a text from my sister saying 'Dad's upset you forgot fathers day' I knew there was a reason I called him last night...Doh
Gonna have to make it up on his bday I guess!

I almost did that too. But I did leave the house at 7.30 on Sunday and I had slept in. Thankfully I was reminded at work so got him a present and card on my lunch!!
And this is true, I mean I never had the paitence to learn how to play an instrument and I got an F for science at school! But I understand, colour, composition and shape in a way that most people don't. Does any of that make sense?

Jun 16 2008, 12:11 PM
That makes complete sense. I always find it odd when I think about my siblings, because not only do we have the academic/creative/practical differences but also my brother is a complete optomist, I am a complete pessimist and my sister is a realist.. Very odd that we're related at all!
No idea if that's accurate - I've never done one before.
Yay - 200 posts! Now I need to think of a witty title for myself!

Thats interesting. Would you say those traits were a gene 'thing' or nutured by our surroundings? If you're all different then i'm leaning towards genes!!!

Haha yeah, weird thing is, my parents are COMPLETE OPPOSITES. They couldn't be any different really. I think my sisters like my mum and my brother like my dad. I was always totally similar to my grandma, and she was my closest family member, more of a mum than a grandma, but think they may be because I reminded her of her own daughter (my auntie) who died when she was 29...she was a total tomboy, like me!
Well done claire! We're all genuis's!

It's interesting how different siblings can be - in some ways my sister, brother and I are so similiar it's weird and in others we are utterly different!

I got 114, and did it in like 5 minutes because I'm being impatient tonight. If I concentrate I can get up in the 130s. Annnnnnnnd, that just proves that people with my condition are naturally smarter =]
All of my siblings are really different too. I'm the tomboy music lover, my eldest sister is the professional and smart but slightly nutty one, my next sister is the nutty one who always gets tore down, and my other sister was the musical theatre witty one. Having said that, I've got the wit of that one too. My media teacher hurt her leg a few weeks back and went "I'm hopalong" to which I replied "No need to worry about that - I'm legless!"
Sazza, Ca Va means "How are you?" and Allamange is the French for England. J'habbite a L'Irelande du Nord - I live in Northern Ireland.

evening y'all (even though most of you are in bed......hehe).
i am so tired......it feels like I've been hit with a ton of bricks. Its been awhile since I've felt like this........I didn't know volunteering took this much energy out of me. My eyes are starting to get tired and its only 7:30pm......but that's probably because I've been up since 7am!
good reason..........

New hair cuts are so exciting! Dark with purple streaks sounds cool - I always wanted to do that but I'm really pale so if I dye my hair dark I tend to look like I'm ill, even in my goth phase I never dyed it completely black.
My hair was halfway down my back till a couple of months ago when i decided I was bored one day and had it all cut off so now it just about reaches my ears.
