Polly, that's great about having two penguins for "yourself".

Penguins are adorable; especially when they're babies. The fur makes them cute.

I'm awake, went into town today to look for jobs...Spoke to a few people, handed in a few forms etc..

I dunno I'm panicking a bit about it to be honest. I don't really know if I should go speak to my old work or not...Really risky business, ARGH. I need advice!

I guess I just don't want to say no to the job and then end up with no job! I worry about these things! Anyone? lol

I just don't know, do I go for the 'good job' with 'alright pay' but that they will take advantage of me, involves 14 hour days (with 4 hours of travel) that I won't be enjoying because I know it won't get me anywhere..Or do I not, and just hope and pray another job comes up, keep applying for other jobs and have faith in myself that I will find something?

It has got you this far.

I know it`s never easy though when you are at a crossroads. Just remeber you are an intelligent woman who is I assume very good at what she does. Any job would be very lucky to have you.

Polly - do you still live near your Uni? The Careers Advisor at ours would see graduates as well as under grads - maybe they could give you some impartial advice?

It's one of those things where I really want to tell them to shove their job, but then I wake up in the night thinking 'what if I can't find anything else'...Just don't want to end up on the dole!

It's not really a case of keeping options open though, because I will sign a contract up until xmas...
I think that's the bit I'm worried about! I literally just got an email from my old co-worker, so I think I may go in and have a chat then say 'Can I have until Monday' to think about it!...

I dunno, unless it's a LOT of hours, and plenty of music (not too much key skills) then maybe..AArgh..I just don't wanna end up depressed for a year! But I suppose it if's bad I could quit at xmas...pfft.

The meeting supposed to be on Friday 15th, so next week...suppose I'll go along and take it from there

US Sarah, we've got a new member of the family.

Parker Foster Aiken was born at 8:08am on the 08-08-08 in NC. Weighs 6lbs 2oz and is 19 inches long. Faye says Clay is grinning from ear to ear, and that mother and baby and DADDY are doing just fine. Clay blogged at 10am because he wanted to "tell you first".
