OOo update in the 'World of Polly' Got an interview on Monday...

Haha, well I don't know much about the job as I have never done anything like it before, but I only applied yesterday and got a call today saying could I have a 'phone interview' on Monday (which I wasn't suprised by as part of the 'desired section' said 'good telephone manner') so we'll see, even if nothing comes of it at least it's experience!!

Got another email today from another co-worker, saying at present they had no one teaching the ND2 (thats national diploma second years) FMP (final major project,) so maybe it'll be a few music hours and a few key skills...I think as long as it's not tonnes of key skills and no music I could cope...At least until Xmas!

Haha, nope recruitment consultancy..In rail/construction area...They're looking for 10 new people, thats all I know!! 16K PA plus commision, sounds pretty decent to me!

As I said I have NO previous experience though! LOL

Exactly! Im a big believer in fate.
For example, I was meant to visit China for three weeks in May. But my Chinese friend f**ked up and got a visa to come back to the UK so I ended up only going for 8 days. The day after i'd left the earthquake hit! Andddd we were planning to go to Chengdu the to see the pandas the day Porle left.....
To top it all. If I had stayed for the extra time I would have been stuck in Dubai by myself for 21 hours panicing because the telephone operator that I booked with mixed up the transfer time on both flights! (the original and updated)

My point is, that everything happens for a reason!

Haha, I love watching the Olympics and can quite happily sit there for hours watching random sports I really don't have an interest in! My favourites are the swimming and athletics though My plan for the next couple of weeks is to watch as much of it as I can!

I too have watched a LOT of olympics todays! Don't know why I'm more interested this year, maybe I'm wating for a riot to happen!

Gosh...That's awful, I am sort of preparing for the worst to be honest...I think the Brits will be respectful, but we do have some pretty mad activists in the UK ...

Two Americans were attacked, one died, the other is in hospital. The attacker (who was Chinese) commited suicide. Its all a bit mad - I agree there will be more before the games finish.

Not quite sure what the IOC were thinking when they decided giving them to a country as controversial as China would be a good idea.

And I havn't watched much yet... but thats cos i've been in work all weekend! I caught some swimming this morning and then some US vs. China Basketball on my afternoon break.

Highlights on at 7, I think. Somehow I woke up at 7am this morning so I managed to see the swimming (really bizarre to wake up so early seeing as it was my friend's hen party last night and I only went to bed at 3! Early night tonight, I think!)

It's so sad and it not just the American family that will suffer. His whole family will suffer for what he has done.

Okay so the murder happened in Newcastle.... its all over the local press today!

Yeah, I saw it on the news last night, all these british people were saying 'this sort of thing NEVER happens here' then there was a young Chinese guy in tears saying he was comtemplating throwing University in as 'Violent crimes to us happen often.' Think the police need to start patrolling the area. It upsets me as it appears to be a hate crime, and I thought racism in the UK was improving!

So I just had my phone interview thingy with the recruitment agency, apart from a few really stupid things I said, it went alright, gonna get a call later in the week

But 16K basic, plus commision, with a 3 month probation, but if I'm determind I'll do it!!

I think I see it more because it personally effects my life. I'm not saying that everyone is racist up here, but I notice the ones who are.

And thats great news Polly. You'll be making 10 grand more than me a year...
